Alteria.

It is a beautiful kingdom. It was a beautiful kingdom. A place filled with greenery and surrounded by the blue of the Cerian ocean. Alteria was somewhere where both the richer and the less fortunate could still make a prosperous life, whether in the farming villages towards the South or across the valley of mountains towards the North. Venturing to the North of the kingdom led the traveler to the district of Sailan. Unlike the quiet of the south, here the streets echoed with laughter as citizens navigated the market square at the center. Vibrant sellers called patrons to their stalls set up along the roads selling all kinds of merchandise. Taverns stood strong behind them where guests come and go at every hour of the day enjoying women and drinks. 

And above all of this, towards the end of the town, there lay a risen hill in which a castle made of brick overlooked all the activity. It was a place where citizens were welcome, but only through invitation. It was the residence of the royal family.

 The Arindales. 

A generation of royals who had a part in the foundation of Alteria and have run it on the throne ever since. Yes, they held a stern rule when it came to the kingdom and expectations of its citizens but this created the peaceful happiness that shrouded its lands. 

That was until... one moment in history became the catalyst that would begin my story and everything that was to come after that.
