There was a knock at the front door at around ten in the morning. Lianna was listening to music and cleaning like she usually does on a Sunday. But the knock at the door didn't phase her as she knew who exactly it was.
"Marce~ I know you're out there."
"Lia I swear to god, open the damn door, it's hot as balls out here."
"Okay okay." The student opens the door, letting the girl inside with her suitcase.
"Where's the boys?"
"They're in their rooms, most likely getting the last ounces of summer out before we have to all go back in September."
"Oh", Marce turns and shuts the door behind her as Lianna heads over to the kitchen island.
"Colt, keep this running." Tobias shows a huge grin as Colton shows around a pretty expensive camera, they seem to be filming the apartment with some dialogue here and there. The girl pulls to the other side, trying her best to not look at the boy.
"Are they filming a YouTube video?" The medical student shrugs, looking at the two as they go around the living room, Colton chuckling along at how happy the boy was.
"And this is my roommate, Lia."
Did he just call me by my nickname?
Lianna gives a small wave to the camera, biting the inside of her lip to try and stay calm for a public audience.
"She's going to be staying with us till fall semester exams are finished." The two chuckle and smile as Tobias waves back at the girls before directing Colton to come with him somewhere else on the first floor. When they leave, the psych major darts a glance at the other girl, practically asking "What the hell was that"
"No clue, anyways, let's go up to your room, you better have the couch set up for me."
"I do have it set up for you thankfully, I wouldn't want to not give my best friend and manager the things she needs." The two chuckle before walking up the stairs to her room, Juneau jumping for joy seeing his secondary mother.
"Hey Juan, how are you?" Marce starts to speak in a higher pitched voice that gets the dog's attention, making him jump into her arms and lick her face. Lianna on the other hand was getting the girl's suitcase into her room and onto the couch bed that the other would be sleeping on for the week.
Marce, after getting dog slobber all over her face, smiles at the other, seeing that her room wasn't much different from when she first moved in only three years prior when she got her permit approved. "Hey, thanks again for letting me come visit."
"No problem. I kinda wanted someone to come over in case the new residents were assholes."
"But they're people you know and have a history with... so I think it's also great I get to see them again."
"Yeah, I guess so."
"Did you and To-baised make up at all?"
"We did Friday night actually, and we've been on the road to becoming friends."
"Friends with benefits?" The girl smirks but gets a punch in the arm from the other.
"No."
The girl shrugs, that dumb smirk still pasted on her face. "Alright then, you got the GameCube set up?"
"I have the switch, the GameCube is in storage under my bed currently."
"Oh, then can we play Animal Crossing?"
"Yeah." Lianna boots up her TV that sat on a base in front of the couch, a docking station next to where the remote was with her Animal Crossing themed switch already on the dock and ready to be booted up.

The boys on the other hand were getting their "Welcome to the house!" vlog tour done for their YouTube channel. Ever since they were younger they thought of being YouTubers, even going as far as to create gaming channels at the age of eleven or twelve. Colton was their editor while Tobias was the main person who talked throughout their videos and vlogs.
They had also gained a great fan base once they hit their senior years of high school, both of them being in two different states at the time, only having the summer where Colton would come back and they would hang out.
"I think we should leave out the footage of Lianna's room."
"Yeah, I don't want them to see how the dog was doing."
"That dog has a name you know."
"Yeah Junie."
"Well Juneau but I think he'll respond to it when he gets comfortable with us." the boy nods as he messes with the memory card in the camera. Both of them were currently in Colton's room with his make-shift editing contraption that was his laptop as he sat on the edge of his bed. Neither of them had gone out to go desk shopping as they would really like Lianna to come with them. However, they don't think she'll come since her friend was in town and she'd want to spend all the time in the world with her.
"What do you think they're doing?" Tobias finally got the memory card back into its slot in the camera while the other was getting the last finishing touches of the video together before being reviewed.
"Most likely catching up, I heard from their call last night that they hadn't seen each other since the release date of Lia's first major book publication." The music major hums, smiling at knowing that the girl didn't give up her passion of writing to pursue other things. It was even funnier that Lianna had her own Twitch streams and decided to tell young writers how to start their first books while she drew and animated and did other freelance work.
"Maybe we should see what they're doing, the video's deadline is Tuesday, it's only Sunday."
"Yeah but this takes a lot of effort to polish it so you can go see what they're up to, I'll stay here for the time being."
"But I don't wanna go if you're not going to be there."
"Aren't you two friends now? I heard you two talking and giggling up a storm last night."
"Yeah but... I don't want a recurrence of Friday night to happen."
"Marce is going to be there, you'll have nothing to worry about." It felt like a big ball of cotton was swallowed as Colton's words were like honey, sweet and soft.
"Thanks Colt."
"Anytime, now are you going to go hangout with your ex-girlfriend, not really your ex anymore, but more like a girlfriend, or what?"
"I'm surprised you said that in one breath."
"You'd be surprised at what I can do." the boy rolls his eyes, grinning.
"Whatever." He gets off the other's bed, walking over to the door to open it before turning back to the boy who stared at the bright laptop screen. "Thanks."
"No problem."
