On your way to the sheep yard, you pass the crops fields Millie talked about. Rows of vegetables in various colors glimmer in the sunlight. The way leads you up a small hill. Beyond it you see the fenced in sheep. On the far end, leaning against the fence, you can see a figure. You hop over the fence and make your way over to them.
It’s an old man, sitting in the grass. A small lamb is cowering at his side. His rough face is dirtied and filled with a pained expression. You kneel down and talk to the man. You’ve found Jebediah.
Ah, Millie sent you?
Bless her soul!
I’m Jebediah and these are my sheep. I set out this morning to check on them. I’ve done so every day of the week, since a wolf killed two of my lovelies.
Those damn wolves! The militia should keep a better eye on them!
The forest is not as safe as it used to be. What a shame …
…
Why I’m sitting here you ask?
Well, as I was walking over the field this morning, my foot got stuck in a hole in the ground. I didn’t notice it until it was too late. Now I can’t even stand up anymore, and walking is unthinkable!
Poor me!
If I only had some cloth and wood to temporarily fix my injured leg, I could make it back to Millie.
Could you maybe bring me some?
You accept Jebediah’s quest and set back towards the farmhouse to gather a piece of linen cloth and two pieces of wood.
