You find Jebediah still sitting in the grass leaning against the fence. He is alone. The lamb has left him. His face is sunburnt. You hand him the linen cloth and the two pieces of wood.
You’ve come back! Finally! I was about to lose hope.
You brought the cloth and the wood I asked for?
Marvelous!
*Jebediah creates a makeshift brace*
Thank you very much! I shall return to Millie in no time. Please come and see me there, will you?
You leave Jebediah alone and return to the farmhouse. In front of it you find Millie and Jebediah reunited at last. Millie is tending to her husband, offering him a cup of tea. Jebediah, on the other hand, is delighted to see you.
You’ve come!
I cannot thank you enough for what you’ve done for me, but, alas, I must ask you for another favor.
As I had mentioned before wolves blight the nearby forest, and my sheep are in danger. I’m an old man, you see, and walking out to the pasture is more perilous than I had thought. Unfortunately, the militia is useless. Sometimes I wonder why we even have one …
Anyway, would you be willing to help out an old farmer once more?
Go into the woods and slay ten wolves.
Bring me their ears as proof.
In turn, I’ll reward you with two silver pieces upon your return.
You accept Jebediah’s quest and venture into the nearby woods.
It took some time but eventually you gathered ten ears of wolves. You shove them into your backpack. It is almost filled to the brim with items you have gathered. You did not only encounter wolves, but also spiders and vicious owl in the woods. Hoping not to stumble into another one of these creatures you make your way out of the woods and return to Jebediah.
Already back I see. Have you done as I asked?
…
Blimey! Ten wolf ears as you promised. You are really a magnificent adventurer!
Here, take these two silver pieces. You’ve earned them!
With a smile you say your goodbyes to Jebediah and Millie and leave the farm to continue your adventure.
