I was pacing around the living room, waiting for Caden to come back. 

I was afraid of him but worry was my biggest feeling right now.

"Miss, it's three in the morning, please get some rest. I'll let you know when Mr Jones is home," James mentioned to me but I shook my head.

"It's alright, I'll wait up," I tried smiling but I bet my face was fucked up from all the anxiety.

The door opened and I heaved a sigh of relief when I saw Caden.

He looked so tired it scared me. His whole body was covered in sweat and I guessed that he went out for a long run. 

"Caden." 

He looked at me with a cold glance then turned away, not even replying.

He walked upstairs and I followed him, he's not going to be a stupid bitch under my watch.

He pushed his room door open with more force than needed and I prepped myself to talk to this angry man.

He took his shirt off and I gasped seeing his toned muscular body glistening with sweat in front of me. I felt my cheeks get hot.

I cleared my throat, "Caden."

He turned to me, a stoic expression on his face, "Yes Rose?" 

I gulped, not sure what to say. His body was distracting me and I had so much to ask him.

"Are you okay?" Was all I could manage.

He raised an eyebrow, "I'm fine." He flung his sweat-soaked shirt into the laundry basket and made his way to the bathroom.

I followed after him, "Caden wait." 

He stopped at the walk-in wardrobe and turned to me, "What do you want Rose? You wanna get in the shower with me?" 

I shrank, it was the first time I heard him this annoyed. And yet I couldn't believe how hot he sounded.

He walked towards me, "Is it? Is that what you want?" His voice was gentler but controlled. He reached up and tucked my hair behind my ear, his fingers lingering on my neck.

I gulped, the way he was looking at me, filled with lust. It scared the shit out of me.

I stepped back, "Sorry Caden, I'll just-"

Before I could turn away he grabbed my waist and pulled me in for a kiss. I gasped, feeling him press his lips on mine, hard and strong.

I tried pushing him away but he held on firm, his lips becoming soft and gentle as he moved his lips against mine. 

I closed my eyes and kissed him back, melting in his embrace. I couldn't pull away from him, I can't when I want to know so much about him.

A memory in my mind flashed, a dangerous rough hand pulling me into the darkness. His fingers digging into my skin, the pain that ripped through me, making me bleed. 

My eyes shot open and I pushed Caden off me. He stared at me, stunned by my sudden withdrawal. 

"Rose-" 

I stepped back, shrinking away from him, "Don't hurt me please."

His eyes were wide open, "What? I won't hurt you Rose," he reached out and touched my cheek but all I could feel was fear and a stinging pain.

I heard a loud slap and I didn't even realise I was the one that delivered it. Across Caden's stunned face.
