Suddenly I felt like I had woken up from a dream, but I still didn't feel right to move, it was more or less like that feeling when you wake up in the middle of the night and the last thing you want is to move. But of something I could be sure, I was hearing shots near me again.
Hell, I have to move !!
But my body refuses to obey, it does nothing to wake up. Not long after I heard several steps heading toward where I was.
"Well I have arrived at the place with my team" said one of them.
"Here
War Lady" I heard the voice of a woman that surely sounded through
some radio, probably one of the soldiers who just arrived.
"Dylan you better get this weapon out of there !!"
"It's the only way to win this battle"
"The Alliance depends on this plan !!"
Well, it is the Alliance who has just arrived. And it also seems that one of the scientists from before took the risk of coming to get the capsule out of here. But while I was still trying to move that Dylan spoke again:
"Dammit!!" "One of your soldiers shoots me and now they want me to get this back in the middle of this shit !!"
"That Brandon didn't think he had such a fucking elaborate plan just to get a finger on my research !!"
"I could barely hack the Doll in time for it to attack Akane as well." Dylan said while the sound of metal knocks sounded near where I was.
"Now that I have checked her out, the guy there had stolen the crystals that she had in her hair!"
"You the one with the machine gun check it and bring it to me!"
Shit ! he realized that was me.
"Are these from here sir? " the blue ones?"
"Yes, those are, bring them quickly"Said the scientist.
But there was something strange, if I had the crystals in one of my pockets they should have moved, but I didn't feel anything. Although of course I still do not feel good so I may just not feel anything yet.
"I still don't know what purpose that guy had in taking them, but I swear I'll find out later. But
without a doubt, it is that if this girl possessed them, they mean that
they must serve for something, although I continue to maintain my
theory that they are deposits of some type of energy" Dylan explained to
one of them, but I can't know who he was talking to.
"Enemy
soldiers, get down!" shouted another one of the soldiers. Followed by
the unmistakable sound of a machine gun a few meters from me.
"Shit enemy reinforcements are already arriving again, I have to finish this before they catch up with us!
"Quick pass me the safety collar" said the scientist in an accelerated way
"Very well with this, I can proceed to wake her up"
After that, I felt a slight prick on my forearm.
"This
should counteract the sedatives, now we just have to hold on until she
wakes up and we can get out of here" I heard Dylan say.
And with that, I felt like my body felt lighter and ready to move. But just at that moment, I heard a horrible scream.
"AAAAAHHH !!!" shouted an unknown man in agony.
"She split him in half with just that !?" shouted another.
"Shit!!"
"The hack must have driven her completely insane"
"We have to get out of here !!"
"Don't stand still", "Shoot!!"Said the group leader.
Right
after the sound of several shots was heard near me again, then the
sound of metal hitting another and with that, a scream followed later.
"AAAHH !!"
"HELP!!"
"DO NOT LEAVE ME BEHIND !! said someone somewhere.
But
just then I finally managed to open my eyes. At last, I could move
again and my body followed me without problems. But I had no time to
waste. I understood a little what was happening, and with that, I also
knew that I did not have time to waste either. I got up from wherever I was and ran to where I heard the screams. There was an Alliance soldier, I did not know him but I think they were one of the new replacement in the Phoenix squad because he had his patch of the legendary bird on his shoulder. Was seriously hurt by the same girl I had had my fight with before.
Trying
to save the soldier from the danger he was in, I grabbed a large stone
that was nearby and threw it at her while running straight towards them,
the impact hit the girl in the face, followed by knocking her down with
a push from my body, making her fit a meter behind her victim. Without
wasting time, I took the assault rifle from the injured men, and
without checking if it was loaded, I shot the DOLL without thinking
twice to attract attention and leave the poor man alone, and thank
goodness it worked because just when she was getting up off the ground
and trying to fight back was when she received almost a dozen bullets
throughout her body. Without
giving her the slightest opportunity to recover, I went directly
against her again, now with an empty weapon, so I decides to use the
rifle like a bat and I began to hit her in the head until she completely
disarmed it.
Managing
to end the immediate threat, I approached the injured person to help
him, after all, he has protected me during this short time. I
see that he has a cut on his abdomen, but I can't treat him here or
outside, so I quickly dragged him by the hand to bring him closer to the
wall of a building that was nearby, then he removed his vest and I
quickly took out the kit first aid
kit that everyone has in their bulletproof vest to start treating it: I
put on the gloves that were in the kit, I check the wound well. It seems
that it only has one so I proceed to place bandages with pressure
inside the wound to absorb the blood that is losing, after a few moments
seeing that it no longer loses as much as before I proceed to cover the
wound with more bandages in the outside and I start to make a gauze
around his abdomen and put a little tape to keep it in place, but
although it may be good for now it will be of no use if it is not
treated fast in a hospital because the wound really it's deep.
Trying
to look around, trying to ask for help from another Alliance soldier, I
managed to see and signal for help to a patrol that was in a house on
the other street. I managed to see that they believed me and comes to where I am, so I breathe in relief. Then
I go back to the soldier to tell him that help is on the way, but just
when I took the first step something happened, I felt a slight prick in
my neck, then my body feels heavy again, my vision becomes blurry and I
feel dizzy.
That was a sedative !?
"Thanks a lot"
"You have saved my life"
"Thank you very much, my girl !"
Dylan had appeared again, he was near me along with an antenna device in his hand.
I tried to speak but I think I can only say a babble.
"I'm sorry but it's time for you to go back to sleep"
"But now it is time for me to continue my investigation"
"You are going to make me very famous my little one"
"You'll be fine"
It was the last thing I could hear before falling asleep again.
