As I closed the door, saying goodbye to my last patient of the week, I smiled thinking of the weekend that awaited me. I couldn't wait for Nazar to discover what I had prepared. I quickly said goodbye to Imogen before leaving the building and making my way toward a shop to buy what was missing. I bought a bottle of alcohol and some food that I knew we didn't have at home and paid for the items before leaving and making my way back home.
"I'm back!" I shouted as I closed the door behind me. I put what I bought on a counter in the kitchen and smiled as I saw Nazar leave the living room and enter the kitchen. I walked up to him and took him in my arms. "Hey, I bought the last things needed for our little weekend..."
"I can't wait..." He whispered, a smile on his face before giving me a quick kiss.
"What would you say if I asked you if you wanted to start our weekend a little sooner and go to the restaurant with me tonight?"
His eyes widened slightly at my suggestion and he exclaimed a few seconds later. "I would need to get ready first!"
"You look good. We're going to eat. We're not going to walk on a red carpet." I chuckled at his reaction, tightening my arms around him a little more.
I let him go and let him put his shoes on before taking his hand into mine and leaving the house. We went to a restaurant in the center of the city and managed to get a table in a corner of the restaurant which was perfect. I read him the menu softly and ordered our meals once we picked what we wanted.
"It's been a while since we went to the restaurant in a more romantic way..." Nazar said in a low voice as his hand reached for mine from accross the table.
"I agree. We should really make some efforts to do it more often. It's always good to be reunited, especially after so many years together..." I replied, squeezing his hand into mine.
"If you would have been told when we first met that this would be our life, would you have believed it?" He suddenly asked, a smile forming on his lips.
"No way. Even nowadays when I wake up, I still can't believe you're really next to me and that this is our life..." I answered, a soft smile appearing on my lips as I watched him get embarrassed. It wasn't something that happened often.
"Stop, you're going to make me blush..." He said in a low voice with a slight chuckle before adding. "I'm really glad we decided to give it a chance..."
Words couldn't express how much I loved this man. I kissed his hand softly before letting it go when I saw that a server was walking toward us with plates full of food. The whole dinner was spent in a joyous and romantic mood and we left the restaurant once I paid for our food. Once back home, we immediately went into our bedroom to continue the great night we were having...
♂+♂=♥
I woke up with Nazar's sleeping head on my chest, making me smile softly. He still looked as handsome as when I first met him. I could feel one of his hands on my thigh and I tried to remove it softly without waking him up but failed miserably. "Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you up... You can stay in bed while I prepare the breakfast." I whispered before placing a small kiss on his forehead.
He mumbled something incomprehensible, making me chuckle slightly and I left the bed as quietly as possible. I put a pair of underwear and a T-shirt on before making my way into the kitchen to prepare something to eat. I started making an omelet before preparing some toasts and added some strawberry jam on it. When that was done, I took two empty glass that I filled with orange juice. I put everything on a trail and walked up the stairs, being careful not to fall. Once in the bedroom, I was greeted by Nazar sitting on the bed and passing a hand through his hair. I could see the covers around his waist, just high enough to hide his intimity.
I carefully put the trail on the bed before sitting next to Nazar. "I hope you're hungry." I took his hand into mine to show him where I put everything and smiled when he kissed my cheek as a thank you.
We ate in a peaceful silence and I put the trail away once we were done. "So, what are we going to do today?" He asked, turning his head toward me.
"I know how much you love the sea and I was thinking that we could do a small boat trip... What do you think?" I asked and watched as his face lit up as soon as the words left my mouth.
"We can do that in Plymouth?!" He exclaimed before adding. "Why didn't you tell me about it sooner?"
"What did you think the boats were doing all these times I told you there were boats while we were on the beach?" I asked, chuckling at his reaction.
"Just passing by?!"
I laughed harder at his reaction and kissed his cheek, he could be way too cute sometimes. We got ready and I led him toward a boat that I booked just for the two of us and watched with a smile as Nazar pretended to pout. His expression went back to normal when he heard the voice of the owner of the boat that was waiting for us. The owner greeted us and I helped Nazar get on the boat and we listened as he explained where he was taking us while he was starting the engine.
Nazar was holding the barrier as we were standing on the hatch. One of my hands was holding the barrier while my other hand was on Nazar's lower back, making sure he wouldn't fall if a wave hit the boat. "How is it?" He asked in a low voice, his eyes closed. "Is it as beautiful as it feels?"
"Yes, it is..." I replied, looking at him with a soft smile. My heart began to beat faster as his smile grew bigger; he really was the most handsome man I had ever seen. I couldn't believe he was already forty-six years old. I turned back my head toward the sea to look at the magnificent view that was in front of us. The sky was clear and the sea was calm making the whole scene look like it was out of a postcard. After a while, the boat slowed down and stopped and we ate some sandwiches, enjoying the place we were in. Once we were done, the owner came to see us.
"The sea is pretty calm today. Would you like to try to drive the boat?" He asked, a small smile on his face.
"Oh that's nice bu-" I started to say but Nazar cut me off.
"Come on! I can't do it but you better do if for me!"
"Why couldn't you do it?" The owner asked, a curious look on his face.
"I'm blind. But he's not so he's going to try for me!" Nazar answered, a smile on his face.
"I'm sure you could if I helped you." He replied and Nazar's eyes widened at this answer, clearly not expecting it.
"For real?! I would love to!" We followed him toward the front of the boat and I let go of Nazar's hands once he held the tiller. The owner started the boat again before holding the tiller with Nazar and telling him what he had to do. I discretely pulled out my phone to record a small video of this moment, wanting to save this memory. I put it back in my pocket when the owner stopped the boat again and took Nazar's hand back into mine. "How was it? Do you think I did it correctly?" He asked, the smile still present on his face.
"You did really well." I replied, enjoying seeing him so happy. It had been so worth it to book this trip on the sea and I wished I did it sooner. My answer made his smile even bigger and he pulled me into a quick hug, stealing a quick kiss at the same time which made me blush. I wasn't a fan of public gestures but the owner pretended not to see anything and was back to the tiller. After a while, he brought us back on the beach and we said our goodbyes before walking back home.
"This was absolutely amazing. Thank you." Nazar said after a few minutes of silence.
"I'm glad you enjoyed it. Is there anything you would like to do for the rest of the afternoon?" I asked as we arrived in front of the house.
"Just spending time with you is enough. I never expected to be able to drive a boat so this was sureal but you know you don't have to do all these expensives stuffs. Like, all these amazing afternoon we spent went we were eighteen and it was just us walking around or spending time at the beach. As long as we are together, I know we will have a good time." He explained and I squeezed his hand into mine. I knew what he meant and, while I agreed with him, I loved doing all these surprises from time to time. And it wasn't like we couldn't afford it now.
I unlocked the front door and we went inside. We went in the living room and sat on the sofa, Nazar immediately putting his head on my shoulder. "I already prepared everything for dinner. And I found the perfect spot on the beach. It's a little further away but it's a calm area and without many people..." I told him, placing a arm around his waist.
"You're the best, you know that?" He answered, snuggling even more against me.
We spent a big part of the afternoon like that, just enjoying each other's presence and I only got up to prepare us something to drink. When it was time for dinner, we got ready and I prepared everything we would need for our picnic. I took the bag in one hand and Nazar's hand in the other and we left the house, walking back toward the beach. I quickly saw the spot I was looking for and, once we reached it, put all our belongings on the ground. "We're here. Wait, I'm going to put a tablecloth on the ground so it will be more comfortable."
We sat next to each other and I pulled the food and the bottle of alcohol out of the bag. I handed him a tupperware with the food I prepared earlier and a fork before opening the bottle. I filled two plastic cups and waited for him to put the tupperware down to give him one. "To us?" He said, raising his cup.
"To us." I replied and gently put my cup against his. We started to eat and drink while the sun was slowly going down. My eyes kept going between Nazar and the beauty of the landscape.
When we were done eating, we stayed here and I looked at the sun going down. "Could you describe how it looks?" Nazar asked in a soft voice, putting his head against my shoulder as I brought him closer to me. I looked back at the view of the sea and the sunset and tried to describe what I was seeing the best I could, wanting him to experience it with me. We stayed in the same position once it was over until Nazar broke the silence. "You know what you told me about fostering a kid? I thought about it a lot and we can try.."
"Are you serious? I was so sure you would say no; what made you change your mind?" I asked, not expecting it.
"Like you said it's not something permanant and you told me you would take care of all the important stuffs... Plus, you're always putting my happiness and well being first and it's important to do things that makes you happy too. And I know how important this is for you so I'm down to try." He replied, a small smile on his face.
Tears prickled at my eyes when I heard these words. "I love you so much..." I whispered in a chocked voice after a minute of silence before kissing him softly. I never really expected him to agree even if I had hoped for it and I didn't know what else to answer. He really was my whole world.
