Faun

There was an odd tingling sensation zinging up and down Faun's spine like an electric current. It was like every nerve in Faun’s body was dialed up too high. The candles scattered around the room were too bright, burning his eyes.

Kai’s spicy scent, normally unnoticeable, was permeating in waves from the Alpha until it was all Faun could smell.

The room felt as hot as a sauna to the panting omega. Salty sweat was beading on his heaving chest. 

Faun felt a desperate urge to rut against the cool sheets in their bed until the burning heat went away.

The only thing preventing him from doing so was the growling Alpha in front of him.

After cracking the table in two, Kai hadn’t moved except to slowly coil his snake-like tail underneath himself until he towered several feet over the Omega. Faun could barely see past the Alpha’s broad, puffed-up chest.

His Alpha's pupils were blown so wide that darkness had completely swallowed the green. Faun felt frozen to the spot by Kai’s piercing gaze. It was as if the Alpha was poised to strike at any movement.

Predator and prey. 

An odd thought shot to the Omega’s brain.

Start the chase.

Without a thought, Faun listened. The omega twisted on his heel, bolting toward the living room. 

The heavy slide of scales against wood alerted Faun that Kai was right on his ass. 

Faun threw himself over the makeshift couch made from miscellaneous furs and moved toward the far wall. His bare feet slid against the slick wood floor as he dodged under Kai’s reaching arms. The chase exhilarated the Omega, making him smile giddily.

The smile was quickly wiped off of his face as Kai’s tail deftly looped around his ankle, sending Faun tumbling to the ground.

A heartbeat later and Faun felt Kai’s warm, broad body against his back, trapping him facedown on the floor.

Kai’s muscled tail coiled around his trembling legs, trapping them together. One of Kai’s broad hands gently trapped Faun's hands under his thin antlers, while the other trailed along his freckled back. 

An abrupt feeling of warm wetness trailed down the back of Faun’s thighs.

Am I slicking already?

Faun burned scarlet. 

Kai moved again, inhaling deeply against his neck, snuffling the area where his mating mark would go. The tickling feeling made the omega giggle unexpectedly. The noise stopped Kai’s movement, and Faun twisted his neck enough to look into his Alpha’s intense gaze.

“Faun, I want to make you my mate. I want to give you my mark.” The Alpha’s baritone voice was nearly unrecognizable. 

Faun suddenly bloomed hotter. A scorching heat seemed to erupt from his core, turning his blood into lava. 

“Yes,” Faun wetted his dry lips. “I want you to give me the mating mark, Kai.”

The thought of Kai’s claim made Faun rub his soaked thighs together. 

Faun was bodily lifted into Kai’s powerful arms, bringing them eye to eye. 

“So you're saying..”

“Yes, Kai. Yes!” Faun nearly giggled at the smile that bloomed on Kai’s handsome face. 

Kai let out a pleased, purely Alpha rumble that vibrated through Faun’s body.

Faun let out an omega purr to reciprocate, feeling himself be laid down on cool sheets.

Much later in their joining, when Faun was on the brink of being tipped over the edge. Kai’s body moving in perfect sync with his own. He felt a twin pair of sharp fangs pierce his sensitive neck.
