I said it to him. The amount of feelings we have for one another is too much to deny.
The amount of lust we see in one another's eyes is crazy.
We were back at the resort, in one of the restaurants. Caden went to receive a call and he became incredibly quiet.
Who did he talk to?
I ate my food and glanced at Caden from time to time. He was picking his food and I got kind of annoyed by the silence by then.
"Caden."
He didn't respond.
"Caden."
He looked up at me, "Yes Rose?"
His voice sounded so sweet I almost forgot why I wanted to talk to him.
"You're so distracted."
He shrugged, "Sorry, I've got things on my mind?"
"Well, you wanna share anything with me? To lighten the load?"
It was weird how I wanted to help him, I didn't like the quiet and reserved him. I wanted him to speak his mind.
He watched me, his eyes lacking that sparkle that I love, "It's my dad."
I nodded and continued eating, "What about him?"
Caden took a deep breath and sighed, "My father refuses to hand the business down to me. Not that I mind, I really don't. I don't give two fucks if he wants me to work under him forever.
But the thing is he doesn't want to hand it down to me because I'm not fucking married."
I raised an eyebrow, he seems really pissed.
"So do you want your father to hand the business down to you or not?"
"Of course I do but I want him to hand it down to me for my capabilities not because I get married like what the fuck is wrong with him?"
This side of Caden, I only saw briefly when he was on stage giving the presentation. I never knew how hard of a worker he was.
Or how much he wanted his abilities to be noticed.
He sighed really loudly and I wanted to comfort him but I didn't know how. I reached out and touched his hand, he looked up at me and seemed to calm down a little.
"You don't have to feel bad about yourself Caden, honestly speaking your father is just giving you unnecessary stress," I told him bluntly.
He nodded, "I know but I don't feel bad for myself, I feel bad for my dad. I know him. I know how much he wants to just retire and not care about the company anymore.
I know how much he loves chilling with his friends and talking about his long gone wife. I know how much he wants to just hand everything over to me, that's why I feel like I'm this selfish bastard."
Wow, I never saw it this way.
"He's trying to fulfil my mother's last words Rose, he wants me to get married and settle down, take over the company and live on. Right now I'm doing the complete opposite.
And my father is playing the pity card by not letting me have the company. He hopes I will pity him and just get married already."
I pulled away from him and I saw a hint of pain flash in Caden's eyes, "I'm sure I want to marry you Rose, but I won't force you. I will wait for you, I promise."
My heart and stomach were doing flips when he said that.
Did he indirectly propose to me?
Before I could even think of a reply, Caden stood up and left.

- Caden -
I fucking said I want to marry her.
I'm crazy, I've lost my mind, I'm nuts, I'm bonkers, but I really meant what I said.
If it means my dad stressing me out for nothing but having Rose to love me fully, I won't mind.
There was something else troubling me though, my father mentioned something about Rose.
Something about her past.
He said he'll overlook everything that she did and accept her as his daughter-in-law. But Rose didn't do anything, she was the one that was raped.
Why must he overlook what she did when she didn't do anything?
I paid for the dinner and left to grab some drinks at the bar.
It's been a while since I wanted to be away from Rose.
I don't want her to see me like this.
The bartender asked me what I wanted to have and I don't even remember what I mumbled.
I just drank whatever and sat there, replaying the day with Rose in my head.
I've never been happier.
Someone sat next to me and I grumbled so loudly the bartender glanced in our direction.
"What the fuck do you want Charles?"
He chuckled, "Why are you and Cassidy so triggered all the time?"
"Because you are an asshole that's why."
He grimaced but laughed it off a second later, "Ah man the girls here are so boring. I placed a stack of money on the table and they were begging for me before I could even say a word."
"You're a pathetic excuse for a human being Charles. Plus it's only dinner time and you're already fucking around."
"Says the one who is drinking alone in the bar," he rolled his eyes and I felt even worse with him here.
"Can't you just fuck off somewhere else?"
"Yeah sure, I can find your pretty girlfriend if you want-"
I grabbed him by the collar, "You touch her, you're dead. Got it?"
He shrugged and pried my hands off him, "You know it's not her I'm after. I mean yeah she's pretty cute but my main goal is to give you hell."
I scowled and drank another shot, "Charles you were being a douche to those girls, don't even try to deny it."
"It's not just those girls man, it's our ego we're talking about here. Do you even know what the people say at clubs now? They say I'm the appetizer and you're the main meal.
Girls look at me like I'm some joke dude. At least now if I can steal your girl then people will stop fooling around with me and take me seriously."
I scoffed in his face, "Ro- Cassidy hates you, how the fuck do you think she'll even come close to you?"
"Close enough for me to fuck then people won't fuck around with-"
I grabbed him by his shirt and threw him on the floor, "I said you touch her you're dead!"
"Do you guys have a problem here?" The bartender came up to us with a straight face and I sighed, "No not at all."
I paid for my drinks and gave a huge tip before walking out of there. Charles didn't come after and I'm glad he didn't.
He would probably end up like Mark if he did.
I went back to my room and zipped up my luggage bag.
I was staying in a different hotel from Rose and it drove me insane being this far away from her.
I went over to her hotel and saw her just enter the lobby.
She caught my gaze and raised an eyebrow.
I smiled and winked at her.
She rolled her eyes and went to the elevator.
I quickly followed, "Rose."
"Yes Caden?"
"I'm sorry I left you alone I'm crazy."
"It's alright, I understand," she shrugged it off but I sensed a hint of hurt.
It was too quiet in the lift.
"Caden."
"Rose."
"Don't do that again okay?"
"Okay." I paused for a moment, "Wait do what?"
"Don't leave me alone like that again."
The lift door opened and she walked out. I stared at her for a second before following.
We entered her suite and the interior design was totally different from mine.
Mine was timber all over but here it was marbled and so pretty.
Matching Rose perfectly.
We stood there awkwardly, I was surprised Rose didn't even reject me being here since I left her at the restaurant.
"Your room is over there, wash up and have a good rest. I'll see you in the morning," she smiled weakly and walked towards her room.
"Goodnight Rose."
She paused, "Goodnight Caden."
She went into her room and I sighed, I ruined the whole day.
I left her in the restaurant alone and I got a horrible mood from seeing Charles at the bar. Now Rose is being quiet and I don't know how to deal with it.
I dragged my luggage to my room and got into the shower.
My hair was still sandy and dry from the beach.
The warm water made me feel that tad bit better.
I grabbed the bathrobe and put it on, I'll just have a drink before going to sleep.
I walked out to the living room and saw Rose walk out from her room as well.
She was in a silk night dress, her hair still a little wet from her bath.
God she was so sexy.
Her pink cheeks and rosy lips. Her slightly messy hair, I wanted her so badly.
Her eyes shot through mine, she was right.
I'm a goner.
I strode up to her and grabbed her face in my hands, kissing her with all my might.
Her hands found my hair and pulled me in. She was so good.
I hugged her tight to me and I pushed her till she was against the wall. She gasped and I kissed her neck and lips and whatever I could have of her.
My hands roamed her back and she pressed her lips harder to mine.
She wrapped her legs around my waist and I've never wanted anything more my whole life than to have this woman.
"Rose," I mumbled in between kisses.
"Mm," was all she could respond and I couldn't help smiling.
"I want you Rose please."
She sighed and pulled away slightly, her eyes searching mine, then she leaned in and pecked my lips, "I want you too Caden, I'll marry you."
My whole world stopped, she said it. First, she said she wants to make love to me now she's saying she wants to marry me.
"Rose-"
She held my face, "I love you Caden, I'll marry you."
