A/N: Things get a little...Spicy... So if you don't like hot things beware, and feel free to skip the paragraph(s).
"Dee said she would be here in 15 minutes." I said looking down at Greyson. He was still sitting down on the bench and I was standing a good few feet away.
I don't know what the hell came over me I don’t like guys. I’ve never liked anyone for that matter. I’ve always been too afraid that they might think I’m a freak if they ever met the real me.
I must be still sick that's it. That has to be it. Greyson got up and I unconsciously took a step back. He stopped and looked at me with hurt in his eyes.
"Look Greyson I don't swing that way so would you please not...not " I couldn't push myself to say it so I just kept my mouth shut and Greyson just sat back down and nodded. When I was sure he understood I sat on the bench, making sure there was enough space between us.
"You're not afraid to sit next to me?" He said knitting his brows.
I rolled my eyes.
"No, I was caught off guard that’s all." I said shaking my head. “I’m the diseased one, not you.”
A smile played on his lips and I stared at them longer then I should have. I could still taste strawberries on my tongue. When Greyson bit his lip, I turned away to watch some squirrels playing by a tree.
It was quiet for a while before I felt something nudge my shoulder. It was Greyson's jacket. I looked at him and then back at the jacket.
“Take it you're cold. I'll be fine."
I gazed at him debating if taking the jacket might give him the wrong impression, but the autumn weather was enough of an incentive to make me stop second guessing my every thought. Strawberries wrapped my senses once more and I went a little crazy on the smelling the collar of the coat.
"I know this is a strange question to ask, but why do you smell so good?" I took another whiff of the coat. There was really no point in hiding the fact that I was smelling it now.
"Well, what do I smell like to you?" Greyson chuckled.
"Like... Strawberries and... I can't explain it.” I said trying to pin down the mysterious scent. It was like trying to remember a dream the next morning. I would get so close to figuring out what I was smelling, only to completely forget what it was a few seconds later. It felt like I was going crazy trying to figure it out.
I hadn't realized I slid closer to him until my face was inches away from his. My nose found the crook of his neck and I went wild just smelling him. I was determined to unmask the scent.
"Maddy you need to stop." Greyson said seriously. His hands were shaking as he grabbed my shoulders to settle me down.
But I couldn’t stop. I wouldn’t stop. I was so close two more seconds and I would have it. I took little notice to the fact that I climbed over his legs and straddled him. My world became foggy. He was like a drug and I was getting high off his scent. I needed more. I moved my body closer into his.
"Shit, Maddy, please stop. I can't control myself when you do this to me." His hands slowly made their way to my hips.
I wasn't listening though I was too busy trying to find the source of his scent. The thumping of his carotid artery suddenly sparked my interest. My mind lost all control and I dared to lick the nape of his neck.
I must have hit a nerve with Greyson because a few seconds later, I was pushed down on the bench and I felt his lips collide with mine. He rocked his hips roughly against me.
“Ah!” I moaned in surprise. Greyson slipped his tongue into my mouth and took control of me. He tasted like fresh picked strawberries, sweet and just the right amount of tart. My mind went blank and my hands gripped his back as he continued to grind into me.
Greyson's lips briefly left mine to trail down the side of my neck.
"You know, I can't explain it either, but you smell pretty damn incredible as well." He huffed as spoke and grunted as our rubbed against each other.
Greyson lifted my shirt and I shivered as his eyes hungrily inspected my body. His hands explored my body while his tongue licked and nipped at my chest. The autumn air seemed to cool my hot body down as I withered in Greyson's arms. His hands reached down my pants and past my waistband.
My eyes shot open as he began rubbing me off.
"No, wait, we shouldn’t do this," I tried to pulling his hand out.
He wouldn't stop and instead, locked his eyes with mine. It caught me off guard and I wasn’t sure what to do.
"P-Please, we're in pu-pub-"
I couldn't finish my sentence. My hands gripped his back and my breathing grew ragged. His hands stroked me faster and I felt I was almost at my limit. I burrowed my head in the crook of his neck. "Please ..."
"It's okay, you can come if you want to." Greyson said seductively in my ear. He could tell I was at my limit.
“I’m- I’m-” I tilted my head back to look at Greyson.
He didn’t say anything. He just kissed me hard and passionately.
I bucked against him as I came into his hand.
“Mmph” I moaned as I relaxed underneath Greyson.
My high only lasted a few seconds before my world came crashing back and I had realized what I just done. Before Greyson could say anything, I kicked him off of me and towards the woods behind the park.
Away from Greyson and safely tucked behind a few trees, I let myself process what just happened.
“Shit, shit, shit!” I dug my hands through my hair and started pulling hard at the strands. It wasn’t my strange fascination with his scent that freaked me out, not even the fact that I barely know him. No, I was panicking because I actually enjoyed what he did for me. It scared me how easily he could break my walls down.
I took off his jacket, cleaned myself up, and trudged back over to the bench. There was only one way I knew I could be myself again and that was to never see this guy again.
Yet, when I went back to the bench, I was surprised to see Dee instead of Greyson. Dee looked up at me and pulled me into a massive hug.
"Oh, Maddy I'm so sorry baby,"
"Where's Greyson?" I asked looking around. Dee let go of me and put her hands on her hips.
"Seriously?!” She huffed. “I came all this way, to see how you're doing, and you want to know where some guy went?"
I rolled my eyes.
"Dee you know I love you and appreciate you, but could you please tell me if you saw him."
Dee smiled she always did love getting praised.
"Yeah, he was here for a second said he had to go and that he's sorry. Did you two have a fight or something?" Dee said looking at me with more curiosity then concern.
"Yes, we did!" I said feeling my cheeks burning. What a coward! He couldn’t even apologize to me in person. I squeezed his jacket in my fist. "He's a weird guy and I don't like him."
"Why, what did he do to you?" Dee asked, her mother bear senses kicked in.
"He didn't do anything to me.” I lied. I wasn’t ready to tell her what happened because part of me feels like it was just a strange dream. “If you want to see him go ahead, but I don't want to." I shoved the jacket into Dee's chest. "Here take this, it's his."
"Why would I want this?” Dee shook her head in confusion. “I'm already wearing one. You should wear it."
I scrunched up my nose in disgust and she laughed.
"Just because you suddenly hate him now, doesn't mean you can't wear his clothes. Take me for example, I wear all of my ex’s clothes.”
“This is completely different!” I argued.
"Who cares,” Dee rolled her eyes, “And besides, you're definitely still sick. Your face is bright red and your eyes are all watery. Put the damn thing on and stop complaining."
Dee glared at me until I grudgingly put the jacket on.
"Happy?" I tried to breathe in his scent as little as possible.
"Yes, and speaking of clothes we're going to need to find you some new ones."
"With what money?"
"Don't worry I'll spot you." Dee said laughing. "Now come on, lets go to my place."
"Your place?” I was hesitant to follow Dee as she started heading back toward her car. “Won't your parents be mad if they see there?"
Back in high school when I used to live with Dee, I was really upset that I hadn't kissed a girl yet, so Dee was kind enough to teach me. However, her dad walked in on one of our little lessons and flipped out, He said I abused his generosity, and that I would have to leave. They thought that Dee was the innocent one and I was the wild, sex-crazed teenager.
"Don’t worry about it. They should be at work now, so I'm sure you can borrow some clothes from my dad's closet and take a shower if you want." Dee said, as if she had it all figured out. I felt a hell of a lot calmer knowing I could rely on Dee. We walked over to Dee's car, and she blasted the radio as we drove off.
Dee was talking about random things to keep me from thinking about my home being burned to the ground. I was grateful for what she was trying to do, but all I could think about was how Greyson took advantage of my vulnerability. I hated that he was on the forefront of my mind.
"Earth to Maddy,” Dee said shaking me back into reality. “We're here."
When we walked into her house, I didn’t have to think twice for where the shower was. I was eager to get out of my clothes and started stripping before I even reached the top of her staircase
Dee had a nice house. It always smelled like the fresh scent of bake goods. Dee's mom was a baker and owned her own shop. The house had a big living room an even bigger kitchen that led into a dining room. The basement was where I used to sleep, but all the other bedrooms where on the second floor. They had an attic as well, but no one ever went up there. At least, that’s what Dee’s parents thought. When they weren’t home, Dee and I would sneak up there for hours, and mess around the way most kids do, when their parents weren’t home.
Dee came into the bathroom a few minutes after I got into the shower. "Here are some of my dad's nicer looking clothes, do you want anything to eat when you're done? "
"Nah, I ate at Greyson's, but thank you." I said shaking my head.
"So, do you know where you’re going to stay? "
"I was thinking a motel or something," I said unsure of myself.
"Well what about Bill? I've seen you two hanging out before."
I paused for a beat. I hadn't thought of Bill. We weren’t really that close.
"Yeah, I'll speak to him at class today if I can make it in time. Hopefully it won’t be awkward."
"You still want to go to classes today? " Dee scoffed.
"Yeah, I do, so please get out. I want to get dressed."
"Oh, calm down Maddy, I've seen you naked before." Dee laughed.
"What! When!? " I said popping my head out from the shower curtain.
"It’s nothing you should be ashamed of." She giggled and left.
I felt my face heat up.
"Dee that's not fair! Let me see you naked! Dee!"
I heard her laughing from the hallway and shook my head in defeat. I got out of the shower and dressed. Dee brought me a blue polo shirt and some cargo pants. The clothes were a little big, but they would have to do.
I took a spare tooth brush from under the sink and scrubbed away the taste of strawberries. I went down stairs to see Dee blending one of her weird smoothies. She looked up from her mix and smiled at me.
"Protein shake?" She said lifting the blended in my direction."
"No thanks I'd rather see you naked," I joked.
"Not gonna happen, you, ‘Wild, sex-crazed, teenager.’" Dee quoted her father.
"Whatever, I can probably just look you up on the Internet."
"Maddison Hastings, I swear if I wasn't in the middle of making this shake, I would kick your ass."
"Alright, alright! I'm done! " I said holding my hands up in defeat, knowing she was serious. "But just to be clear the name of your tape is called what again?
Dee glared daggers at me.
"Maddy, sweetheart," She said in a calming, yet all too terrifying tone. Her eyes went back on her drink and I gulped in fear.
"Yeah…"
"If you ever make another disgusting joke about me again, I swear I will strip you in your sleep and duct tape you to the flag pole on campus." She didn't once look up from her blender and I stared at her with wide eyes.
"Sorry, Dee." I said sheepishly, “I didn’t mean to cross the line.”
"It's alright, but for punishment you have to try some of my drink." She said handing me a glass of green juice.
"Do I really? I'll do anything else. I’ll hold your bags while shopping or we can watch Pretty Woman for the thousandth’s time." I gave her my best puppy dog eyes, but she grinned and shook her head.
"Maddy its either you drink this or get tapped to the flag pole. You know I have several friends who would be happy to help me."
I groaned and grabbed the drink. I could feel tears prickle the edge of my eyes as the disgusting mix sledged down my throat. I wanted to puke, but Dee would probably make me drink another glass.
"Atta boy," Dee said giving a small applaud.
"Can I die now?" I said clutching my stomach and doubling over.
"Stop being a drama queen and get in the car." I stood up straight and glared at her. That damn woman can always see right through me. She smirked before heading out of the kitchen and to the main entrance.
