Mason skipped down the aisle of the 7-11, grabbing whatever he wanted and throwing it into his basket. If Terrance cared about the price, Mason had the money to pay him back, but Mason knew deep down that Terrance would do whatever he could to appease the Omega.
"Anything specific you want?" Mason called as Terrance followed him through the convenience store. "I mean, it is your money."
Terrance chuckled and rolled his eyes. "Make sure there's some Oreos in there. Anything to drink?" he asked, and Mason's face lit up.
The Omega carried his snack-filled basket to the slurpee machine and looked hopefully at Terrance.
"Go for it," Terrance said, grabbing his own cup and filling it with the icy substance. "I haven't had one of these in years."
Mason bit his tongue as he focused on not spilling his tasty drink. "Henry showed me what they are and I rarely drink them but sometimes I need icy sugar," he said as he finished filling his cup. "God, I'd kill for one of these."
Terrance scoffed. "You'd kill as an after-work activity."
"It's rude to expose people."
The pair finished their shopping and checked out their items before going to a video store and picking a couple of movies. While Mason picked a Disney movie, Terrance chose a horror movie.
Mason glared at his mate's choice. "I'm going to get scared!" he complained, trying to put the movie back.
Terrance smirked. "That's the idea behind a horror movie, babe," he said, bumping his hip against Mason's. "You got to pick one, now I do."
Grumbling, Mason checked out the movies and walked back to Terrance's house, refusing to hold his hand. They got back and put in the horror movie first, and Mason immediately curled into Terrance's side, burying his face into the Alpha's chest.
Screams and roars rang out on the screen, making Mason whimper and cuddle closer to Terrance.
They were only twenty minutes into the movie when Mason pulled away from Terrance and glanced up to find that he wasn't even watching the movie; he was on his phone with a smirk on his face.
"What're you smiling about?" Mason asked, jealously overwhelming his senses as he imagined scenarios of Terrance flirting with another Omega over text. "Hey! What're you looking at?!"
"I'm looking at memes on Instagram," Terrance said, showing Mason his phone. "Calm down, I'm not texting anyone else if that's what you're worried about."
Mason growled at him. "If you wanted to be on your phone why is this stupid movie in?" he asked angrily.
Terrance put down his phone and wrapped his arms around Mason. "I don't even like horror movies," he whispered, pushing his nose into Mason's hair. "I just like how scared you are since it makes you clingy."
"Seriously?!" Mason asked, crossing his arms and pulling away from Terrance. "You could've just told me you wanted to cuddle!"
"You wouldn't have done it then and would've clung to a pillow to spite me."
Mason glared and grabbed a bag of skittles. "Well not I'm not going to cuddle with you." He paused for a second before a revenge plan formed in his mind. "Let's go to a bar or something. I want to go drink and dance!"
Terrance agreed, though he was confused by Mason's sudden eagerness to go out, especially since he knew that the Omega didn't obsess over going out.
Shuffling through the bag of clothes he'd brought with him, Mason grabbed some black skinny jeans and a form fitting shirt that showed off his stomach. It was a look that would definitely draw the attention of other wolves and since he wasn't marked, they'd feel like they could approach him.
Mason smiled evilly to himself.
It was a surefire way to make Terrance jealous, and the Alpha was too respectful to tell Mason to change, which made it even better. He'd have to sit and watch Alphas touch up Mason and all he could do was growl and tell them to back off, but there was no way to enforce it unless Mason asked him to.
They went to a club deeper in the city called "The Black Star."
There was a long of people out front and Mason happily got into line, grinning and excited for the chance to get back at Terrance. He just hoped that Terrance would accept the joke and wouldn't get too upset, since he seemed to have a habit of feeling guilty and trying to do everything in his power to fix it.
A bouncer walked down the line, inviting people in, before he stopped in front of Mason and Terrance. He looked the pair up and down before waving them in, earning himself a bright grin from Mason and a respectful nod from Terrance.
"Let's go get wasted!" Mason yelled once they were in the loud, neon-light littered club. "I want some hard liquor!"
Terrance raised an eyebrow. "Okay... um, I'll stay sober so you have someone to take care of you," he said, sitting at the bar while Mason bounced on his feet and waited for a bartender. "Are you getting drunk to cope with something?"
Mason shook his head. "No, I just wanna get drunk," he said, sliding in front of Terrance so they were facing each other. Once there, Mason rubbed himself against Terrance's crotch and kissed his neck. "Who knows? Maybe I'll be in a giving mood later this evening."
Terrance inhaled sharply. "Not if you're drunk," he muttered, ordering himself a coke while Mason asked for 'the hardest liquor that will make you black out in five minutes.'
"I wanna go dance," Mason said after downing his first drink. "You coming?"
"No, I'll stay here and watch, if that's fine?"
Mason hummed and skipped off, heading for the crowd of people so he could dance.
The bartender refilled Terrance's glass and leaned on the table. "You're not worried another Alpha's gonna grope him?" he asked, taking Mason's empty glass.
Terrance shook his head. "Honestly, if someone gropes him, I hope someone gets me so I can watch him kick that guy's ass," he said, sipping his soda. "And I saw you go easy on the liquor, so I'm not too worried."
The bartender nodded in respect. "Well, I'd still recommend keeping an eye out. We get some idiots in here who may not back off even if he tells them to," he explained, turning around to clean out a few glasses. "And he's a cute one."
Smiling, Terrance looked over at Mason, who was clearly having a great time. "He is, and I know he can handle himself. He wouldn't cheat and I guarantee he only wanted to go out tonight to make me jealous."
"Really?"
"I put on a horror movie earlier so he'd cuddle with me," Terrance said with a chuckle. "Poor boy didn't even notice until partway through and immediately decided he wanted to go out. I guarantee he starts grinding on some Alpha in the next five minutes."
The bartender looked over into the crowd. "Yeah, there he goes," he said.
Terrance turned to see Mason's front colliding with another Alpha's front. He wanted to be jealous, but he honestly found it funny that Mason was working so hard to piss him off.
"I'll be back."
"Jealous?"
Terrance shook his head. "Nah, I'm gonna go tease him," he said, leaving his chair and moving to stand behind Mason.
Mason relaxed into him, until Terrance leaned down and whispered in his ear.
"You're working pretty hard to piss me off," he said with a chuckled, making Mason tense and turn away from his other dance partner. "And it's not doing anything because I know you're doing it on purpose."
"I do what I want," Mason snapped, rubbing himself on Terrance. "And I wanted to make you jealous, but now I'll settle for giving you a boner and leaving you hanging."
Terrance scoffed. "Can you be any less creative?" he asked, making Mason give him a confused look. "You did that earlier and it didn't bother me. Plus, I can always go to the bathroom and deal with myself."
Mason pouted.
"What's wrong? Upset you can't piss me off?" Terrance asked, smirking.
"It's not fair," Mason whined, crossing his arms. "You don't want me enough to be jealous?"
Sighing, Terrance hugged his mate. "I don't want to be overbearing," he whispered in Mason's ear. "And seeing you try to make me jealous is more humorous than irritating."
Mason sighed, walking back over to the bar and ordering another drink. He felt Terrance sit beside him but didn't acknowledge the Alpha, more focused on his irritation over his failed plot.
Terrance ordered another soda and put his hand on Mason's thigh, rubbing gently. He felt Mason relax, but he could tell the annoyance was still there.
They sat at the bar until Mason turned after feeling a tap on his shoulder. As soon as he turned, Terrance saw his face pale and his body tense once again.
"I'm surprised how easy it was to find you," a man that Terrance didn't recognize said. "Clubs don't seem to be your thing."
Mason stood up and moved closer to Terrance. "Leave me alone," he muttered, pressing his side against Terrance. "I do what I want."
The man opened his mouth to speak again, but Terrance cut him off.
"I'm Terrance, Mason's mate. I don't think we've met but you're clearly making him uncomfortable, so I'm going to ask that you leave him alone or we'll just leave," he said.
The other man narrowed his eyes. "I'm Ezra, his real mate," he growled, making Mason shudder and Terrance roll his eyes.
"Let's just go," Terrance said, pulling Mason after him. "Leave us alone."
Ezra laughed and ran in front of them. "You don't know what you're getting yourself into," he said to Terrance before looking at Mason. "I'll give you two weeks to come back to me before I come get you myself."
Mason reached up and touched the scars on his neck as Ezra pushed past them and disappeared back into the crowd.
