Simon was born into a prideful tribe of Salmonid. As he grew, he developed into a weird inkling-like creature. His tribe was very conflicted at this strange development, not knowing what to do. Ultimately, they accepted Simon and proudly raised him to be a fierce warrior.

As a warrior, Simon decimated rival tribes with his abilities; making his own tribe very powerful. But as the years went by, he began to feel conflicted by how his tribe treated him. Curious, he explored the surrounding wasteland and learned about the vast outside world. Simon had grown discontent with living among Salmonids and soon set out to Inkopolis to make his life his own.
