Alex POV: 

After the whole night at the party and me crying my heart out to Toby and Lincoln about the whole situation that went down with Dre. I had to come to the realization and I had a major epitome that you know what fuck Dre I'm going to do I'm going to hang out with my real so-called best friends and Friends and I'm just going to be nonchalant about the whole situation and put it behind me. And just leave him alone as he said.

It's now Monday morning and I'm finally waking up to get out of bed to go to the hell hole called school 😫. I'll walk to my closet and I was now contemplating what I'm going to wear as long as I know I know I'm going to be looking real good today just when I was in my thoughts about my fit, my mom knocked on the door. "Alex honey, are you up to school starts in an hour sweetie I'm just making sure". "Yeah Mom I'm up I'm getting ready as we speak". After I said that I heard shuffling by the door notifying me and my mom had walked away to continue her morning activities.

When I was done in the shower and doing my essentials, I decided to go with whole green and gray fit and I topped it off with a green Yankee hat. I grabbed my book bag grab my phone and walked out of my bedroom towards the stairs. I walk down the stairs quietly to not alert my mom and dad so they won't be questioning me about people (Dre) I don't want to talk about. Just before I could reach the front door my mom stopped me." Where are you going sweetheart without having breakfast with us". Damn just my luck, I swiftly turned around and forged a smile on my face so my mom won't suspect anything was wrong. "Oh sorry Mom must have just slipped my mind, I don't need no breakfast I'm not really hungry either way Mom I had a lot when I woke up for my midnight snack I'm good". My mom looked at me as though she didn't believe me but she planted a slight smile on her face and said "okay honey if you're not going to have anything at least let me just pack a little something for you to take to snack on or eat later" I sighed and just agreed with my mother to take something to go, I walked into the kitchen which where I greeted my dad. "Good morning Dad". I said as soon as I said that my dad took a quick glance from his newspaper and took a sip from his cup of coffee before greeting me with a "good morning son". I smile and saw that my mom had her hand out for me to grab the bag that she packed for me as I was about to grab it to go, my mom pulled back the bag to her chest, and she asked and stared outside the kitchen window "umm that's strange Dre's always here almost every morning to pick you up, is he not coming". I frowned at the mention of Dre's name and try to shrug it off, mask my frown with a smile, and came up with a lie on the spot to persuade my mom. " No Mom not today he said that he had to take his sisters to school because his mom got called in a bit early to work". She nodded after I said that and I'm guessing that she believed it after that she kissed me on the cheek and said her farewells alongside my dad. 

I'm not going to lie and say it wasn't weird for Dre not to pick me up for school but I have to move past that and be on my own for a little while, away from Dre. I quickly made my way down the driveway to my car.

I would have just carpooled and gone to school with Lincoln and Toby but they were busy this morning doing who name what, so I just decided to meet them at school. The driving school was surrounded by me bumping my head to the song on the radio and me staring at my surroundings. After about 15 minutes I finally made it to school. I parked my car the near end of the school closest to the front doors while I was parking I spotted Toby and Lincoln coming out of their cars.

I looked at my best friend's outfits and they look good. Due to the fact they're on Saturday after I cry my heart out Toby and Lincoln came up with the idea for us on Monday morning to look our best and to make an entrance to kind of bring up my mood and I agreed on it 😅, I love my best friend they always try to make me happy no matter what. I walked toward them with a bright smile.

After regretted each other I asked"Are y'all ready" and what are they responded with the widest grin. "As ready as I will always be". "Ok let's go".

We walked in unison and we made our way to the entrance. As we walked through the front doors a lot of people stopped the stairs and gasped at us,I heard whispers like  " damn they look good", and "😫 ahh fuckable" or "He's so cute". From both guys and girls. 

We made our way down the hallway and walked right past Mason, Cameron, Xavier, and Dre. We didn't even wave or said hi, just full-blown ignored them, except for Camey, lol 🤣 (Petty King's). which causes the boys to be left mad. We stopped, turn around and all said in unison "Hi Cameron". And turned back around and stirred straight to our lockers. We talked at our lockers for a while until Devin Taylor decided to walk up to me. You see Devin was a girl who would always ask me out or try to get with me, but I was never interested in the moment and wasn't really ready for a relationship. Don't get me wrong Devin is a truly pretty girl, but at the time I wasn't for it. But now I feel like maybe we could be, I've been single for too long.

"Hey, Alex" I suddenly was brought back from my thoughts, when I heard Devin's sweet voice. I immediately looked down at her and replied "Hi back, and smiled widely. I decided to start the conversation with. "So, about that date". She immediately looked up from playing with her fingers with the cutest smile and said "Really". Which I nodded, and before I knew it she was in my arms for a tight hug. From the corner of my eyes, I could feel someone burning a hole in my head. I peeked a little only to find Dre staring at me and Devin hugging, with a mean mug. WTF is he mad at now, he doesn't concern me.
