015-The first step 3

"Let's go faster, the master gave us an order of war, we have to do the best we can. Move fast you imps." Lily was in full swing after she'd received a war order from Jake and wanted everything to go as smoothly as possible.

3 kilometres to the south was a band of 26 gnolls on patrol. Their boss was a gnoll known for his courage in the face of danger and for having survived a fight against a goblin boss. Also gaining a scar covering his left eye despite not losing his eye during that battle, his name was Pagz. The mission of the pack Pagz commanded was to forage for food and kill goblins, a mission similar to those of the other gnoll commanders.

The pack that Pagz commanded hadn't found food for more than 2 days, so Pagz had to lead the pack further and further north. The gnolls had a rule that each pack could only return to camp after finding food or a victim. If they found food, they couldn't eat it until they took it back to the camp and the more food the pack took the more, they could eat. As for the victim, they would report it to the camp if they couldn't kill him alone. Going north had several big problems. The first was that they were getting further and further away from the rest of the gnoll groups and in case of an emergency, support would take longer to arrive. Secondly it was more likely to find goblins which would lead to battles immediately. Like Pagz's band, there were others.

Pagz turned to his men and said salivating "Come on hah we have to hahah find food today hahah or goblins hahah for us to kill"

Lily had already encountered two packs of gnolls and a group of goblins. One of the gnoll bands had about 40 gnolls and the other had more than 50. Following Jake's orders Lily didn't attack as she wasn't sure they could kill everyone without letting any escape. As for the goblins, Lily couldn't attack them without going against Jake's orders despite the group she found being just over 10.

"If this continues, we won't be able to carry out the master's order and if we don't carry out the master's order the master will be angry with Lily. These imps can't do anything, not even find a small pack of gnolls and the more time passes, the longer Lily is away from the master. Lily has to do the quest that the master has given her well, so that she can be rewarded by the master"

Along the way Lily kept muttering phrases to herself, the only problem was that every imp that Lily commanded could hear. As the imps couldn't transmit vocal sounds other than grunts, they couldn't speak out against Lily's complaints or say that everyone could hear what she was saying.

It had been over half a day since they started looking for a pack of gnolls and Lily and the imps finally found a pack of gnolls with just over 20 gnolls.
