The pearl was some years of cultivation and a lot of his internal qi that would boost Lian Yuexia’s health and control the sickness that within him. Knowing that the current Lian Yuexia wouldn’t take the pearl knowing it was full of demonic qi. The process took the rest of the day until midnight when the pearl was ready to feed to Lian Yuexia, Qinglong did. After feeding the pearl to Lian Yuexia, Qinglong leaned against the bed and closed his eyes. To create the pearl Qinglong had been giving up at least century of cultivation for it.
“So if I give him at least a hundred years per pearl for the next five days then his eye sight should be restored by day six if I give him a pearl of fifty years. Then he would have to let his eyes readjust to the light. Perhaps this will also awaken some of his memories from then." Qinglong counted on his hands to figure out the process in healing Lian Yuexia’s eyes. The process in creating the pearl took half the day at least while it would take Lian Yuexia at least half a day to process it through his system converting the demonic qi into pure qi.
For the next four days Qinglong would become weaker giving his cultivation to his beloved, who was going through nightmares and dreams.
Several nightmares would be of a bloody battlefield where dozens of cultivators lay dead and demonic beasts and demons feasted upon them. Other times he would be in a cell strung up on a wall as a burning sensation deep within him was too much and he would scream out. The one that stood out the most was when he was stabbed in the back by sword, he could recognize but never knew who held it. However during all these time’s, he never seemed angry during times of torture. Yet was completely destroyed when death be fell others. These where just a few of Lian Yuexia’s nightmares that he had experienced himself the pain within them.
The only time he got peace was when a cabin appeared and the medicinal garden, a cry of an infant was heard from inside. Trickling water could was seen from the pond that was near holding koi fish and lotus flowers. This place was peaceful and calm Lian Yuexia had no idea where this was but it felt like home a place he belonged not like the Qinglianpai sect where he was an outcast. Here he felt welcomed to stay where the air was clean, fresh, and bit moist as a dense forest surrounded the cabin.
“Yuexia its cold out here why do you only have these thin clothes on.” A deep voice called out to him from within the dream it was the man again with the dark green clothes, sword, and his hair down as if he had just woke up.
“Was it another nightmare about then? It wasn’t your fault” the deep voice reassured as he put his green overcoat around Lian Yuexia the warmth that was in it before he could feel gently reminding him that this was a safe place. This was Lian Yuexia’s place but where was this who was that person?
‘Am I really the reincarnation of Zhuque? Who am i?’ Were thoughts that went through Lian Yuexia’s mind, he felt so confused and hurt by people he only cared for. Why didn’t he get angry unless it was for someone who was gone already? Did He truly have any emotions at all?
The man who wore dark green clothes disappeared replaced by two people instead. Both had white hair one wore red the other white, their eyes were that of grey and blue. They looked like twins but one could tell the older one from their stance. They had soft smiles that told Lian Yuexia everything would be all right and that he knew them. Lian Yuexia stared at them for a moment before a thought popped into his mind.
“Master Zhuque… You are him?” they looked at each other before the one in red stepped up to him. He raised up two lotus flowers. One was white as snow and the other was as red as blood.
“if able to chose would you forget the past?” He raised the white lotus “Or would you bear the pain and betrayal from the memories of long ago. Just for the love for which you’ve been waiting?” he raised the red lotus and then looked at Lian Yuexia waiting for an answer. For a moment Lian Yuexia did not know what he meant between the two and stared at the flowers. But why would he want to forget about the past? Was his past something to forget? Was he truly ever betrayed? If he was who betrayed him first? He was hurt but that did not amount to the pain that was inflicted on the other.
“Why would I need to forget? I don’t want to forget. There isn’t a need to forget but to forgive so one can rest easy.” Lian Yuexia took the red lotus from the other as the smiled. He turned to the one in white and wave him over.
“I am not just Zhuque I am you. And when you wake you will not remember this fully. Lian Yuexia you are created by life. You cannot be reborn, you need him and he needs you. Without you then the world would have died long ago.” He said grabbing Lian Yuexia’s shoulder and hugging him tightly. He absorbed into Lian Yuexia, now stood the one in white. Lian Yuexia recognized him.
“You are Sect leaders father!” He blurted with no mind. The other smiled and patted his head.
“It is good my little brother is back. Alive and well again. My son was young when he met you so, please do not mind him when he gets like that. Please forgive him. Now that you chose your path do not look back and regret your choice. I must go back and keep breaking the seal. Be good to him he has waited centuries to see you again little brother.” He ruffled Lian Yuexia’s hair before disappearing for the dense forest.
What exactly just happened where did Zhuque go after hugging him? Standing there in the garden alone he looked at the water and saw himself, but he was wearing that red the other was, but it looked altered as there were white threading and hems. Touching his face this was a feeling he didn’t know about, he felt like he was finally whole and complete but at the same time there was this feeling of unknow as well.
Outside of the dream world Qinglong had finished making the fifth pearl that he would be feeding to Lian Yuexia that night. Doing this made Qinglong weaker but made him closer to the same level as Lian Yuexia and the rest of the cultivation world.
‘I will make the fifty year one tonight so I can give it to him in the morning, and another one an emergency.’ Qinglong thought to himself as he started making the couple of pearls. He wanted to concentrate on making the last couple of pearls to be sure that Lian Yuexia’s eyes and health would be alright for a while before he needed another infusion. It took so much from him that the ward stared to fail, and members of the Beggars sect had gotten into to the inn and were waiting for Qinglong to drop his guard. Now that he was in a state that he could not break due to risking the pearl being incomplete and becoming unusable wasting a century worth of cultivation.
Taking this chance to take Lian Yuexia away from Qinglong the beggar’s snuck into the room. While one opened the window the other one was getting Lian Yuexia. Both noticed that there was demonic qi within him to help clear it they were going to inject their own into him, but a growl stopped them.
“Don’t do that you can disrupt the healing process.” Qinglong said his eyes closed and hair covering his face, but one could tell that there was a frown. He was not pleased that there were people in his room and stealing a sick person away from their healer.
“When I am done with this I will come find you and take him back. You have a day to run as fast as you can then I will be there to kill you.” From under the black hair that was covering Qinglong’s face were glowing red eyes that scared them off quickly. Taking Lian Yuexia with them through the window, they start running as fast as they could.
“Do not give him any pure qi it will harm him more than help him. Only Demonic qi can keep him balanced.” They stumbled almost dropping Lian Yuexia as they heard the dark voice called out to them. Taking note that they cannot give any of their internal strength and would be sure to tell anyone else that they wouldn’t be able to unless they want death.
They held on to him tightly and ran to the head of the Beggars that was waiting. It took the night for them to reach the head of the Beggar’s. They laid Lian Yuexia in front of a man sitting meditating his back was straight not hunched over like before. Hearing them come in the head opened his eyes and saw the two were as pale as sheets.
“Fu Dong he is here. We waited until Qinglong was doing something he could not break. Qinglong promised that he was coming for this one.” The two bowed to him Fu Dong got up and walked calmly to Lian Yuexia examining him silently. He waved the two over, they knew what he wanted and lifted Lian Yuexia up. Fu Dong removed the top of Lian Yuexia’s robes to examine his skin. On that porcelain skin was a dark scar or birthmark in the shape of a stab mark accompanied by scaring whip marks. He nodded and continued examining the unconscious one, getting ready to inject his spiritual energy but stopped by the two who brough Lian Yuexia there.
“Master Dong, Please I know you want to examine him thoroughly But, I believe demonic qi is healing him right now. And we are told that any others will harm him instead.” He informed Fu Doug, to which he smiled.
“There is no reason to do any more. Redress him and set him behind me. Qinglong and I have to talk.” Fu Dong had returned to his spot and stared meditating again. The two placed Lian Yuexia behind him as demonic qi encircled and lifted him to help the healing process along. The lashing was just starting to scar over which was a miracle in itself as how heavy the lashings were they would’ve bedridden him for over 2 years at least. Yet when he adsorbs any demonic qi that was around him it had a healing effect more than a damaging or corrupting effect. The two beggars sat in front of Fu Dong as if a barrier to any threats were to come.
When the sunlight started to break from the horizon was when Qinglong was able to make both fifty pearls. Even though he is completely exhausted from giving up his cultivation but also using his internal qi to help condense them into a form that a sleeping body can take. Getting up he felt a little wobbly but jumped out of the window and raced towards the direction they took Lian Yuexia. Anger causing his eyes to become red and dragon like. Crashing sounds were heard as Qinglong stumbled through parts of the village and through the trees to an abandoned temple.
