I so love happily reading Soft Touch and listening to the companion playlists. It was almost two decades ago, reading Mark Danielewski’s House of Leaves, while listening to the companion album Haunted, by POE (Mark’s sister) that I first enjoyed this experience.
In both cases listening to the companion music sets your mood or headspace to that of when you’re reading. Even if I’m driving to work, or cooking diner I can have a Soft Touch “frame of mind”. It’s brilliant and am so grateful!
