This episode contains mention of drowning.

Ghosts are generally a fairly polite and organized community, but unfortunately, there are also such exceptions. When NWLORBGAM was devised, we were allowed as a medium to resort to certain means, not necessarily pleasing to ghosts, if such would be too much trouble under any circumstances. Unfortunately, I was required to always have a few of these gadgets on hand, even when I was off or on vacation. Therefore, I do not recommend anyone to be born as a medium, really enjoy a normal life without being aware of all this envelope. Unless you are a workaholic, go ahead ... I do not belong to this group and I would like to rest once in a while.

I didn't like to leave Judy for long, even though she urged me to go on vacation. I only agreed to a three-day excursion to the coast in the summer right after my university exams. My plans were to lie on the beach, sip non-alcoholic drinks, and be completely ignorant of the spiritual world. But the damned other side didn't want to ignore me.

I was lying on the beach, sunbathing and not hurting anyone, but I couldn't help but be interested when I heard the conversation of girls passing by. They complained that every now and then they experience a strange cold shiver and feel gusts of wind trying to tuck their dresses up, even though the aura was windless. I sighed heavily and looked around, noticing that the girls were followed by two ghosts of some young people with pugnacious smiles. I got up, gathered my things, and headed toward them.

Our arms bumped as we passed, but the ghosts were too focused on making more pranks so they didn't pay attention to me. They only became interested when I tugged on both of them by the t-shirts, they looked at me in surprise.

"Medium?" One of them asked. "What are you doing here?"

"I wanted to rest, but I didn't like your jokes. The girls were clearly uncomfortable, so you are supposed to stop and be in no trouble," I said seriously.

"Oh, it's just silly jokes," the other youth interjected.

"If it doesn't end, you'll regret it and that's it. The decision is yours."

I shrugged and headed back to the hotel. In the evening of the same day, I almost jumped when I saw the beaten Tristan in front of me. The spiritual world is a reflection of ours, so there are also fights between its inhabitants. Although he pissed me off, I became attached to him enough to react and take seriously his condition.

"What happened?!" I asked, examining his wounds.

"I had a fight with those guys you admonished on the beach today," he replied sadly. "I watched them and overheard that they want to make ghosts out of those girls too because then no one will warn them, that they are trying to pick them up."

"What a ..." I jumped to my feet and pulled two ropes out of my backpack. "Let's go! Generally, I don't like being followed, but today I have to thank you for being close."

I was running to the beach, afraid of what the two fools might think. I also called my coordinator and described the situation and asked him to send someone who lives nearby. I had a really bad feeling and I was right. The rescuers had finished their shift, but the girls were still swimming in the sea. They weren't far from the shore, but I noticed they were struggling to stay afloat. I dived down and saw the two fools trying to pull them under the water, I grabbed the one who was closer and started pulling it towards the shore. Surprise gave me an advantage, I grabbed the first stone on the edge and stunned it with a blow to the head, then quickly tied my hands with a special rope that would block all his spiritual skills for about thirty years. After this time it will dissolve.

"Let him go now!" I heard his friends scream. "This is our beach, why did you interfere?!"

"Because it's my goddamn duty. Anyway, I warned you that this is how it ends," I grunted, coughing every now and then. I was out of breath after this short but intense fight.

"No, now you'll regret it!" He lunged at me and I fell to the sand and hit the ground hard enough to feel it, I cursed.

After a while, I didn't feel his weight anymore, because now it was Tristan who lunged at him and they were rolling on the sand, hitting their faces. The odds were more even now, and my spirit was more furious, so after a while, I was able to tie the other "beach owner" too. We tossed them side by side, I fell to the sand and Tristan sat down next to me. The sun began to slowly set, tinting everything pink and orange.

"Are the girls safe?" I asked Tristan.

"Yes, I helped them a little, but they are already on the shore. They'll probably be shocked for a while," he replied, staring at me.

"I hate this job so much," I muttered. "And thank you for your help."

"It's no problem if I can see such a beautiful sunset with you as a reward," he said, smiling warmly despite his spiritually bleeding face.

"Yes, it is indeed beautiful," I confirmed, while I was sitting up. I rested my head on his shoulder after a while. "Very beautiful."

NWLORBGAM = "Nowhere written laws on the relationship between ghosts and mediums"

Believe this other ghost looks pretty bad after dealing with Tristan, who was in the mood of "gonna protect my beloved one" xd

Have a nice week!

Camilla is a medium 2.0, what allows her to interact with ghosts as with alive people. There is one problem, she doesn't want to deal with one specific dead man - Tristan. While dealing with work in Association, love, friends, and a lot of ghosts, she is trying to be the best version of herself.
