It was strange, the first day was so much more then I was expecting, I knew people would be interested in why I hadn't been in school for so many years but they all seemed to avoid me as if being associated with Jack was going to get them on the shit end of his stick and now I stand outside the skyport waiting for Jack, and Lucas is getting really bored and that just means I'll be annoyed soon.

"Sam" I looked to see that Jack was waving his hand in front of my face, which caused me to jump back a bit "look about today" he seemed off, his voice was low and I don't want to start feeling sorry abut his personality so I can't let him get through my resolve.

"I don't want to talk about it" I spat at him, turning on my heals "we need to get home, I haven't even started dinner yet" I lead the two of them into the airship not giving them a moment to say anything to my most likely obvious irritation.

We all sat in the airships seating area which was more like several small lounge rooms lined up with three seater couches and tvs lining the wall which showed any viarity of the news channals, I kept my eyes on one screen which was showing the science instatuit of Atlantas giving a demonstration of their advances in worm whole technology, it would be nice if I could just go from home to the grocioe store and back in an instant but it'll most likely be a rich item and even with the support by who ever is keeping Jack here I wouldn't be able to get one.

"Sam can we go to the park" Lucas broke the silance between the three of us and that's when I noticed that he sat to my left and Jack was on my right, he had his knee touching mine and was attempting to look like he wasn't listening to the new conversation "Sam?" ah shit I was staring

"ahh I don't know Lucas I need to get dinner ready" I glanced over at Jack "though if Jack wanted to get on my good side he could go with you for me" the look on Jacks face was funny but I couldn't let it show that I found it amusing or even kinda handsome when he wasn't talking, though his glare that he had when he seemed to mule over the idea was just as entertaining.

"fine lets go to the park" Jack's response was fast and he stood up as if they were about to go to it now even though we sat in the air above the city "once we land" he sat back down very displeased with the lack of moving he could do to take Lucas to the Park.

"oh wow keep acting like that and id think you are getting along with my brother" I couldn't help but poke fun at him, I've been ignored all day outside the brakes where I got to speak with Lucy and Jack, sometimes Lucas as he ran around the filed when we sat near it "or are you just trying to get on my good side" I stuck my toung out at him at the last remark.

"so what if I am" he avoided my eyes, his snarky comments where coming less and less, I wonder if me telling him off today had changed him a bit.

Lucas went into a monulog with Jack about all the things he wanted to do at the park, I could see the moment when he regretted agree to take Lucas, but it can't be helped its his karmic punishment at least I can make dinner in peace for a change.

The air ship docked at the skyport and Lucas was itching to get off the the ship and shot up from his seat grabbing and pulling Jack with him "lets go" Lucas chanted as he pulled Jack through the opening doors.

Well I guess I am walking alone for now. I left the airship, it was a strange few days, first I had a guy come into my life and while hes hot, his personalioty leaves more to be desired but he seems to be adjusting as if he was not from this world, its strange he talks about having power and while a few strange things have been happing.

The walk home was long, I guess because I didn't have anyone to talk to. I wonder if I will be missed at the kitchen, Lucy told me shed sort it out with her unlce saying that my education should come first and that he can suck it if he wants me to work but id be happy to help "well I guess this is my new life" I turned the key in the front door, the house was quite, I'm used to Lucas being home before me and the whole place being full of life.

I walked into my room it was a mess and honestly I really do need to clean, and if memory serves there is an extra bed in here, or I could clean up mum and dads room, they don't need it anymore but would Lucas be happy, if Jack is going to stay here he cant keep sleeping on the couch, I could have him sleep in my bed its big enough for the two of us, the warmth would be nice and who knows I could get some action if he wants to whoo me so badly but I can't do that, not with Lucas in the house I can't expose him to that part of me, not when I need to protect him.

"well I guess I'll start with dinner" I left my room, I'll clean it one day but not now, I need to have everything ready for when those two get back though apparently that wont be the case, as I walked into the kitcken I saw through the glass sliding door leading to the somewhat okay backyard ive managed to keep fairly tidy I saw the naighbour Mrs Grech, awful lady always trying to have me and Lucas admitted to a home siting anything she can to say I'm unfit to care for us both. Lucky for me though she does it so often and with such outlandish reasons they stopped responding to her calls though that hasn't stopped her from trying though.

I moved to open the back door, she had her back facing me and she was digging something in my garden "hello may I help you" she shot up quite quickly despite her old age "you know I really will call the police for trespassing so why not just stay out of my garden"

She didn't respond, she stood there frozen as if trying to hide from me, like I'd treat her lack of movement as a reason to not interact with her, but it soon became apparent it was more than that, as I looked at her closer, I could see that the skin on her hands had darkned to pitch black and her nails must have grown out as the tips of her fingers looked almost like daggers, her neck while hidden by her hair now began to grow as if she was uncurling it from inside her dress. The annoying old lady now grew taller and longer, more distorted as she slowly turned on her heels.

Her body now long and twisted, unlike its former round and plump shape it had, her face stretched as if she was trying to swallow something bigger then her face, her skin looked rough and pale, except her hands which had darkened much more then before. She looked as if a creature was trying to stretch her body to look more like its original form.

"Mrs Grech?"

She lashed out, her right hand, no claw making a slicing motion for my face, I moved out of the way just in time to only have the side of my shirt get cought on her hand, which in the quick movements I made to move to the kitchen, it had stretched out as she lunged, how can I deal with that, she can stretch and lunge fast despite her old age.

Once I reached the kitchen I grabbed the biggest knife that I had sitting on the bench from breakfast earlier that day, I used it to cut onion for myself, but now maybe I could use it to cut gold old Mrs Grech, can't say I'm too sad about it, she was a bitch to me these past few years, specally after she caught her husband and me, well a mans gotta feed his brother somehow.

"okay Mrs Grech I know we've had our diffrinces, but may I remind you that as much as you hate me he paid me to sleep with him" maybe I could reason with her though by the way her mouth unhindged more id say my attempt fell on def ears, despite the fact that they seemed to grow.

She shot another hand at me, this time not attempting to jump as well but just swing her arm as she exstended it, I just barly moved out of the way of her strike and took my chance to try and cut her hand off but the knife stopped at her skin as if I was trying to cut a cutting board with the knife, it didn't even leave a make on her new blackened skin.

"well fuck"

With a swift movement she swung her arm towards me, it seemed like little energy was used on her part but I was sent flying towards the lounge room, smashing my back into the tv causing it to wobble and fall ontop of me as fell to the ground in a heap.

"oh god" I pushed the tv off my back lucky for me we couldn't afford one of the bigger modles, it wasn't too heavy for me to life "that's it, I save 4 weeks pay for that tv" I pulled myself up from the ground my knife was between us, obviously knocked from my hand as I went flying, I had a small chance to grab it before her tendril like arms did "I know It was wrong to take your husbands money but to wreck stuff I worked hard to buy takes away that pitty you bitch"

I made a dash for the knife and she began swinging her long arms again, I managed to miss the first strike but I wasn't so lucky the second time, he other arm slashed my arm lightly causing only minor bleeding but it stung like hell, it felt as if my skin was being removed, but I was able to grab the knife and continued my sprint towards the now frailing Mrs Grech, her arms looked like they needed to retract to a some what normal size for her tp use them again. i used that as my chance to thrust the knife into her chest, causing her to shrike out in pain, the sound was ear peiricng, my ears rang loudly as I felt something wet leek out of my ears.

The ringing took over my sense as the sreeking stopped, though her mouth still seemed to moved as if she was, I fell back as she tried to grab at the knife, her hands wouldn't close, she was unable to grip the knife and as quick as she shaped into her new form, her whole body turned to black the pale face now frozen in black as if she was made of black marble.

"well I've got that statue for my garden now" Icouldn't help making a small chuckle as I collapsed backwards and layed on thefloor, I need to get up but I am just really tired all of a sudden I'll just doze off for a bit, Jack and Lucas will be home soon.
