As I didn't want to cause any problems I did as I was told, and also because I felt guilty for the girl's death; even if I had not done it on purpose it were still my powers who had done it...
One of the soldiers came up to me and grabbed both of my hands, he put me the same blue handcuffs I had before, which restrained me from using my powers. Then I was being escorted to I don't know where, but probably a place where I was going to be detained while they figured out what will they do to me.
I looked around, I was outside the force field, everyone opened my way to let me through, I was handcuffed but they still looked scared of me...
After walking for a few minutes I was thrown inside a cage, everything looked dark then I was left alone.
I couldn't stop thinking about what happened, why did it happened and why had i done it. I was sure I didn't do it on purpose, it was more as if I was forced by an unknown entity.
I closed my eyes in hopes of sleeping, I was so tired, both physical and mental, that it wouldn't take me much to get into the deepest stage of unconsciousness. So, I closed my eyes....
Beep, beep, beep beep...
It was the sound of an alarm that woke me up, also the continuous blink of an intermittent red light that served as warning sign that something was happening.
-Are you awake?-It was my brother's voice.-We need to get you out of here.-He said as he opened the bars that held me captive with his inner element. I stepped outside and we've hug. With this hug we've let us know that everything we were mad about, was already forgiven. I looked around and noticed he wasn't alone; someone next to us then spoke:
-Something's happened.-It was Nicolas.-Everyone's dead!-He finally screamed as he cried with fear.
I felt my heart stop for a moment.
-Dead?-I said and then couldnt utter another word.
-We need to get out of here first and you'll see.-Jonny said with a face I hadn't seen before: He was crying.
We ran from the cell section we previously were and as we got near the main section of the facility everything became more red, and not because of the intermittent red light, it was blood, pure blood that stained the hallways, roof and floor, I looked around and what I saw was something taken out from the worst horror movie ever...
9, no, 12. At least 15 dismembered bodies were lying on the floor, some parts were as if they were thrown to the ceiling and stuck there.
10 of those bodies I could perfectly recognize: They were the bodies of the other people I was supposed to fight.
As my brother and Nicolas were with me, I felt relieved. Then I thought about Haaziq and the first girl I fought and then a shiver ran down my spine: WHAT ABOUT ALEXANDER AND CELINA...
I began to loose control as my body became water, my brother, trying to avoid more destruction held my hand and i relaxed, leaving me able to get in my normal body again. Then, he spoke:
-As you can see, something terrible happened.-Said trying to control his desperate breathing.-for now the only people alive are just you, Nicolas and me, we havent been able to find anyone else.
-And us.-We heard a voice behind us. It was Haaziq, with Adrien and Susan who were helping General Niels, who was injured, to walk.
All confused looked at me, as I had my cuffs on, it was obvious it wasn't me.
Then another voice emerged from the shadows:
-We need to find anyone who is still alive and start lockdown, we are not sure what it was or what caused it, but surely it was the same thing that made Nathaniel loose control and we need to bed sure that it doesn't repeat again.-It was Celina, and seeing her made me feel relieved.
We came all together and Celina started counting all of us:
-Say "present" if you hear your name.-And as if we were in school checking list, she began:
-Adrien Niels
-Present.-Said Adrien, the first guy who had welcomed me when I arrived, and as hostile as ever he answered, showing no emotions whatsoever, but I knew that deep down, hidden in all the arrogance and coldness, his heart beat to the uncertainty we were now living, and as all of us, he was terrified.
-Nicolas Niels.
-Present.-Answered the small and, unlike his brother, sweet and cute guy, and without hesitation, he didn't mind showing his emotions of fear and uncertainty. Somehow I felt really attracted to this, didn't know why or how much...
-Susan Baker.
-Here.-Said Susan, she was the first to fight me after Adrien, she had already recovered from the fight but her arm looked hurt from this most recent incident, looked as if something had crushed her arm.
-Haaziq Saidi.
-I'm here.-Haaziq answered, he was next to Susan while they both, with the help of Adrien, helped to sit down the injured "General Niels" on the floor which was completely covered in blood.
-Peter Niels.
-H-Here.-So that was the real name of "General Niels". Not that I felt the least bad for him, the unlikable man was there, sitting on the cold bloodied floor and gravely injured but I guess at least I knew how to call the man.
-Jonathan North.
-Present.-I felt happy to hear my brother's name and that he had answered, but also a weird kind of guilt by the fact that most of the following names, there would be no one to answer for them.
-Nathaniel North.
-Present.-I said and instantly felt hatred directed towards me and I couldn't blame anyone for that...
Celina's lips twisted, for what used to be a gently worried smile, into grief, now it was time to name all the fallen...
