“Alright. Let’s head out.”
Takao-Kun said with a bright smile as he woke us up. “We should be there before noon if we leave now.” He continued. We got ready, packing all the tents and water. “By the way, what class are you two?” He asked tilting his head behind while continuing to walk forward.
“Class? What do you mean?” Suzuki-chan asked, I stayed silent.
“Oh, that’s right. classes are what decide what you can do with magic and how you interact with it, there's Magician, Swordsman, Healer, and Sage.”
He explained. “I see! I wonder what mine is!” Suzuki-chan asked herself.
“We can appraise our attributes at the guild.” Takao-Kun told us.
“Wait, if every class uses magic then what's the point of a magician?.” I asked.
“A magician can use magic of different elements, for example a healer can only use healing magic and a swordsman can only buff himself, but a magician can use the elements Water, Fire, Air, and Earth. But there are exceptions, sometimes people are born deviants and can use magic to its full extent. Deviants can use deeper versions of their element, Water’s deviant element is ice and Sound, Fire = Lava and Lightning, Earth = Gravity and Magma, but Air only has one, not an element, but a skill, Flight, but no one in the last million years has been recorded to have Flight.
HANA SUZUKI POV.
We arrived at the village Takao-Kun was talking about earlier. It wasn't advanced, not at all, it was like we entered the early nineteen hundreds. But it was different, magic, with a raise of a hand and some inaudible words, plants grew, fires lit, rocks and water emerged from thin air.
“Welcome to Aurora Village!”
Takao-Kun said with a smile. “Let's head straight to the pharmacy. ”Takajou-Kun proposed. The village was huge and the pharmacy was near the middle so it took a while to get there. Takajou-Kun carried Sayako and we walked until dawn and arrived. Walking through the door of the pharmacy we saw a girl our age standing behind a wooden counter. “Hello!”
A girl who looked our age said excitedly. “My name is Lana, Itsumi Lana.“
“This girl passed out in the woods without a fever or a cold. ”Takao-Kun said gently grabbing Sayako from Takajou-Kun.
“ Alright put her down on this bed here and ill take a look. “The kind girl said leading us to a room in the back.
“I hope she'll be ok.” I said worriedly.
“Don't worry, despite her age Lana’s healing magic is unmatched.”Takao-Kun assured me. “Why don't we get something to eat while we’re waiting?”
We stopped at one of the many stalls on the street to get something to eat. “What would you like to eat, it’s my treat.” Takao-Kun said with a smile.
“Can we get any ramen!?”I asked as my eyes glittered.
“Ramen?”
Takao-Kun looked confused.
“Noodles in flavored soup?” Takajou-Kun tried to explain.
“Ah, Shina Soba?” He asked.
”Mhm, I think so.” I said giggling.
“Alright, it's right down here.” He said pointing ahead “Thanks!”
“*Sigh* That was so good,it's been so long.”
I said leaning back on the chair. “I'm glad.”
Takao-Kun said in response. “Although now we need to worry about where to spend the night.”
He continued.
“Wait, didn't you say that the guild gave free rooms to new recruits?”
Takajou-Kun said. “Why don't we sign up, we were planning on anyways right? Why not now, and while we’re there we can have our attributes appraised.” Takajou-Kun suggested.
