Standing against the railing, Jeremy cracked a smile, remembering how much he had to endure, before he was finally allowed to go with his friends on this cruise.

The entrance exams the scholarship tests and mostly family trouble, almost drove him crazy and Jeremy was happy to be finally able to spend some classic “me-time” with his friends. For the first time in the past few years, Jeremy was finally able to relax. He felt happy to be away from the world of competition.

Yeah! Just Jem and his friends.

While Jem was watching the sunset and pondering this, William popped up from behind. Will(Everyone called him Will) was Jem’s best friend. “Hey Jemmy boy, what’s the matter. Never seen you thinking so deeply before. Fact is I never saw you thinking before.” And then he laughed at his own joke. Will had a strange sense of humour but he was the person Jem trusted with his life and would never let him down for any reason.

“Nah! Just enjoying the view” replied Jem, which in fact was true, because the sunset was worth watching.

“Quit being such a saddist and follow me quick. Alex managed to sneak into the kitchen and guess what? He found us some snacks. Nil and Roy are already waiting in the cabin.”

Yeah! Will, Alex, Nil and Roy were the people Jem was travelling with.

That caught Jem’s attention. He cracked a sneaky smile and replied “After you”.

Alex was the best. Being skinny and short makes him the best guy for doing the sneaking around and that must have been why he was so popular back in school.

The five of them had a cabin just to themselves. Of course, it was not spacious but being together is what they preferred more.

As Jem entered the room, Nil sneaked up from behind and shouted “BOOH” in his ears. Jem surprised and scared jumped back. His heart beating a thousand beats per second.

Later Jem also joined them in his laughter. Yep Alex is definitely best at sneaking into a place unnoticed. But when it came to sneaking on somebody, Nil was unmatchable. Guess he would make a good spy in the future. Then they had their snacks and talked.

Jem: WOW! SRIJAN YOU ARE THE BEST.

Will: Shush! If the guard catches these food items, we will be in trouble again.

Nil(casually): Hey, you all noticed the girl upstairs. Tonight I will talk to her. Wish me luck.

Roy(amused): Good luck! And try not getting slapped.

TYPICAL BOYS PEP TALK

As they were talking they didn’t realize how much time had passed, until Nil finally said “Dude, it’s almost dinnertime. Time for me to Shine. Just wait and watch.”

And as they were about the leave the cabin, the captain spoke on the intercom.

“SORRY EVERYONE. DINNER WILL BE SERVED AN HOUR LATE. DUE TO UM…SOME UNFORSEEN CIRCUMSTANCES”
