-Katelynn's POV

I pulled up to mama Laney's house, to drop of Pey. They're having a Grandma Granddaughter day. I get out got Peyton on one hip, and my purse and her diaper bag in my other hand. I walked inside, and I didn't see anyone.

"Mama Laney?" I called out. I texted her.

Me: Where are you?

Mama Laney: At the store I'll be home in 15, sit tight.

Me: Alright, I'm going to put Pey down for a nap.

I walked into the nursery and put my almost sleeping child into her crib, I closed the curtains and walked out. Taking the baby monitor with me, then suddenly I bumped into someone.

"Kate?" He asked puzzled.

"Ethan" I stood there frozen in shock, I couldn't believe my eyes. I haven't see him in a year, last time I seen him I around when I found out I was pregnant. I had no clue what to say or do, all I could think was I should come clean.

"WHAT THE HELL KATE!" Ethan yelled I rushed to him covering his mouth.

"Stop yelling my child is in there sleeping right now and you'll wake her"

"Yeah, Who's her father?" he asked, as soon as I herd those words I panicked.

"Why does it matter who her father is, it's not like we're together"

"It matters to me because I found a Birth Certificate the other day, her Birth Certificate. And her birthday, is approximately 9 months after you left me, so I demand an answer on who her father is. Because that means that's either my baby you've been hiding for a year or you cheated on me." I have never seen Ethan this emotional before, I can't keep hurting him. I don't know what will hurt him more, me hiding that he had a daughter this whole time, or that I cheated. So I blurted out.

"I cheated on you Ethan." I said in disbelief. I should've just told him that truth, why did I say that. I loved him so much, and to this day I still love him. But, he has his tours to worry about. So, I guess I have to just go with what's coming now.

"What?" He asked.

"Are you deff?"

"With who? When?"

"Doesnt matter who or when, it was over a year ago, it doesn't matter" I looked down because of the simple fact that I could see how much this hurts him.

"I loved you, how could you do that to me." He asked tears peering in his eyes.

"I'm so Sorry." I said whipping my tears running to the bathroom. About five minutes later, I hear a knock on the door.

"Please tell me this is a joke?" He asked. "I'll forgive you if it is, we can laugh about this. I thought we had something special" after hearing him say that, I began to cry more. I wiped my face and walked out the bathroom.

"ITS NOT SOMETHING WE CAN LAUGH ABOUT AND FORGET!"

"So you're serious?"

"This is getting too much for me right now, I have to go."

"Where are you going, your kid is here!"

"Your mother watches Peyton a lot for me,, so I can work." I say and walked downstairs. Once I get downstairs I see Mama Laney, I give her a hug and tell her I have to go, and let her know Pey is asleep.

-Ethan's pov-

2 hours later..

I walk downstairs to the kitchen to grab something to eat. As I am in there making my sandwich, then I here my mom in the living room with Peyton.

"Awe you are so cute I loved you since the day you were born." I'm just in here thinking what the fuck. I get pulled out of my thoughts again by my "You are just so adorable you have your mommy's eyes and your daddy's funny faces." Hearing that just made me stop what I was doing right then and there, I walk into the living room.

"What do you mean by having her daddy's funny faces. Do you know who her dad is?" I said walking over to the couch sitting next to them.

"No I don't know who her da-" I cut her off.

"Then how do you know that she gets her funny faces from her dad?"

"Because I have never seen Kate make those faces." I just sit there thinking to myself. "Hey Ethan can you watch her for a minute I have to go make her a bottle."

"Yah sure no problem." I say grabbing Peyton, She walks away to the kitchen. This is actually my first time holding Peyton, she is so beautiful. She has so many of her mom's features, she had her eye color, hair, and ears. But the other features I couldn't point it out to be her mom. Suddenly she made a funny face, and funny face that I know of only one person doing. Me, I make that same face. I started to think, is she mine

2 hours later..

-Kate's pov-

I walked threw the door quietly and peaked around the corner, Ethan is sleeping with Pey on top of his chest. They looked so cute. I walked over to try and pick up Pey, causing him to to grab her back, in a protective way. I let him have her, after all i've had her for a year he can have her for a night. I walk upstairs to Mama Laney's room.

"Did you see them?" she said to me.

"Yah I tried to pick her up to get her ready to go and he grabed her back to him in a protective way."

"Yah he did the same thing to me, I think its really cute." she said with a smile. "Are you ever going to tell him that he's the father?"

"I want to, but then again I wouldn't even know how to tell him." I say looking down. "But I have to get going, she can stay the night so he can spend more time with her and I will come and get her tomorrow after work."

"Alright that sounds good, but Im not going to be home tonight so its just going to be Pey and him."

"Well thats more time for them to bond and get to know each other. It may even help me tell him." I say. "Im going to go downstairs and tell him what to do and all, Ill see you tomorrow after work."

"Alright have fun hun."

"Alright thank you bye." I say with a smile. I walk downstairs and see Pey and Ethan on the floor playing with toys. "Hey Ethan she is going to sleep over, but, your mom is going out for the night. Do you mind watching her?"

"Yah I don't mind watching her, by the way she is a really good girl." he said smiling at Pey. I walk over to them. "And by the way, I think something died in her dipper." he said making a face.

"Well this is perfect!"

"How is it perfect it stinks." I laughed.

"I mean its perfect because I can show you how to change a dipper." After I taught him how to Change her, we feed her, then I said my goodbyes and left. As soon as I got home, I just went to bed.

-Ethan's pov-

Once Kate left I took Pey upstairs to put her PJs on her. As I'm changing her dipper she makes that funny face again, to me things are honestly are not adding up. Once I put Pey to bed I walked over and took one last look at her Birth Certificate. There is no way this is adding up, she is not the type to just go and cheat. Everything was going perfect, then one day she just disappears. Then I suddenly remembered the conversation we had, the day we left. When she asked if I want kids, what if she was trying to tell me something. All of this has me thinking now.
