I opened my eyes to light beaming down onto my face blinding me as I sat upright. 

"Yawn!" 

My vision finally cleared as I saw my surroundings. I was in a forest with trees stretching so far into the sky I couldn't see the tops far above the clouds. 

"Where am I?"

 Confusion spread across my face as I stood up, patting down my pants to get the random debris from the forest off them, then I took another look around before deciding to just go in a random direction.

 "Staying here won't do any good, plus who knows what's in this forest," 

I said, gazing up with one hand above my eyes to shelter them from the light. It seems to be a little past noon, then turning my attention toward my surroundings, scanning for possible danger as I walked. Questions constantly popped into my head like where am I, how did I get here, was I hungry or just bored? etc. After what seemed like a few hours of walking, I sat down by a tree to take a break and think. The trees that covered this forest reminded me of RedWoods in height though probably still taller. It is hard to tell how tall these things actually are as they stretched forever upwards from my view. I also noticed some similarities to pine trees with the color of the cinnamon brown bark and the smell of the sticky sap, 'I wonder if you can eat the sap unprocessed' I hastily got up and inspected the tree I was sitting under looking for delectably sweet sap with a smile on my face. After a bit of going around this tree that must be half a mile in diameter, I found this blue viscous substance seeping out. It smelled sweet and glowed? I put my hands on either side of the exquisitely smelling sap and observed it trying to decide whether or not to eat it. I had been inspecting the sap till it slowly crept down, now at the base of the tree while a bluish glow and indescribable smell allured me, but my common sense barking at me not to. Almost in a trance-like state knowing I should probably leave it be but unwilling to give up on my treat. I was about to have a taste when "Ding," an unnatural clashing, resounded in my head, knocking me out of the trance and sending me backward onto my butt. I sat there wondering what this sound could be or if I was just crazy then another sound with an image appeared in my head making me lose my train of thought, "Congratulations, you have gained a new Skill of Inspection,"

"Huh?" I exclaimed with furrowed brows, pure confusion written on my face. I was usually a level-headed person even under extreme circumstances due to the number of times I've almost died, though I was considered young, 17 years old almost 18. Life is not fair and I have accumulated 22 close deaths. Honestly, I don't know what kept me alive so long, but this was something unlike anything else I have experienced. 

"I'm going insane," 

I said as another notification popped up almost as if responding "Experience is gained from Acquiring a new skill" "Congratulations, you have leveled up"

"maybe I'm just tired?" 

I said in a hushed voice. I didn't know what to do with these notifications so I decided that I most likely am just tired and should try to find somewhere to sleep. I slowly got back to my feet taking a moment to look at the sap again

"NOT AGAIN," I hurriedly turned away from the disgusting sap that obviously has some psychedelic effects and started running away as fast as my legs would take me, ignoring the notification. After about fifteen minutes, I decided I was far enough from the horrid sap as I placed my hands on my knees and breathed a heavy breath. "Even if I find civilization, I might just get thrown into a nice a fluffy cell," I said, voice monotone with gloom spread across my face.
