[Experience is awarded for leveling a gained skill]
"Huh," I was a little bumed I didn't level up
"I guess I need a lot more experience each time I level or maybe it dosen't give as much EX, kinda like an RPG" after collecting my thoughts about the notification I looked back to the water elemental and tried identifying it
[lower Water Elemental lv.1
A corporeal incarnation of water that is sustained by a small mana crystal in its center]
"Nice, glad I got that level in identification, thanks little duder"
I gave it thumbs up before looking away from the water elemental focusing on the water in the lake, specifically my reflection, there I saw a rather fit though not a bulky young man with short light hazel hair and intense green eyes that looked as though made of emerald
"I look like a mess," I said focusing on the bags under my eyes and the unruly hair
"I guess that's what happens when you sleep in a cave"
Now for the main reason I came to this lake in the first place, I was thirsty. I squatted down cupping my hands together to fill them with the glowing water. Before drinking though I considered if dysentery existed in this world and what might happen if I drank from this still unmoving water source. Then again it was magical so I'm sure it's fine, or I would get super dysentery, I put these thoughts aside as thirst gripped me. I slowly brought the water to my mouth and drank till my thirst was quenched. As I stood back up however a weird feeling of warmth flowed through my body
"oh no, super dysentery?!!".
Though the feeling of warmth soon turned into an almost revitalizing sensation throughout my body making my drowsiness disappear, Actually a lot more than just dissipating my drowsiness I felt like I could run a marathon three times over.
"Probably not super dysentery," I exclaimed, breathing a sigh of relief as I once again continued on my journey to find some semblance of civilization. I soon realized there was another matter plaguing me as I walked, for some reason the water elemental was following me. At first, I thought maybe we were just going the same way so moved out of the path I was going and started in another direction but it still followed me, Then I tried running but it would find me eventually, hiding also didn't work. I don't know how but the little duder always managed to find me no matter where I hid or ran. Eventually, I gave in and stopped trying to get it away from me. I squatted down and looked at the little duder
"Look I don't like just calling you duder if we are going to continue traveling together, how about... "
I paused for a second, thinking of a good name that suited it well enough "Aqua"
"What do you think of Aqua"
as I said these words both myself and it glowed in a blinding light sending me into a panic.
"HEY, WHAT IS THIS!!"
I shouted out unable to see what is happening "Congratulations, Aqua has accepted the name and became your familiar"
[Aquired familiar: lower Water Elemental
Acquired familiar related skills: Mana Share, lower Skill Share, Familiar Link]
[Experience is rewarded for gaining a familiar]
"Congratulations, you have leveled"
[Achilles lv.2 → Achilles lv.3
6 stat points gained, 2 skill points gained]
As these notifications flashed in my mind the blinding light slowly dimmed and then completely vanished. Before I could even act or completely comprehend what was happening I passed out falling onto the grass floor of the forest.
A young man named Achilles wakes up in the middle of a forest in an unknown world. Achilles travels a magical world along with a companion or two looking for the reason he ended up in that world as he overcomes his past traumas and conquers his demons.
