“What…?” Jem asked slightly confused. He was careful not to fall into a trap again, but he was desperate to get out of the ship. Beth patted him on the back.

“Soon it will be our turn for scrubbing…then I will show you” Jack replied. “But do exactly as I tell you and you all be free”.

“And what’s in it for us?” Jem asked.

“Fair question” replied Jack and then pondered for a while.

“I will make all of you my crew”

“Not interested”

“A barrel of beer”

“Blackbeard’s personal cigar case”

“Half of the Blackbeard’s treasure”

“What do you want then?” snapped Jack, realizing that this conversation was leading him to nowhere.

“If we help you capture the ship, you will help us free our friends from the centaurs” Jem decided.

“Hmph…centaurs…cunning creatures. Hope they had their upper part of a horse…then they would hav been no threat at all. I had once met them, when I had commanded the Black Pearl. Oh what a fine ship it was…” he closed his eyes, as if remembering his good old from the Black Pearl.

“Ummph…ummph” Jem cleared his throat.

“Oh yes, yes, fine I will help but only when I am the captain of the ship” cleared Sparrow.

“Deal” replied Jem, he looked directly into his eyes and an understanding passed between them. He knew they would be able to trust Jack. For some reason he was not like Chiron.

“Jemmmmmm…” groaned Will’s voice from the other end of the cellar. It seemed the pirates had thrown him into the furthest cell and he had just regained conscious.

“Stay there” replied Jem. “We will find a way out”.

“You really care about your crew” noted Jack.

“They are my friends” snapped Jem.

“ But they acted like like you were the leader”

“I don’t know what you are talking about” Jem said.

“Hmmph…fine” he pondered this.

Suddenly the door above the cellar opened and Alex, Roy and Ana came followed by guards armed with swords. They chucked them into the cell and pointed towards Jem and Jack.

“Follow us” one of them ordered.

“And Jack next time you try to escape, try not to to it while you are drunk” sneered the other one.

“I will remember” replied Jack and gave Jem a look of What did I tell you?

Then they followed them out of the cellar.
