Dear Journal,

It’s been a while. Four days. Four whole days. Finally, they’re letting us rest up again. I’d say it’s pretty understandable considering the majority of us will be out on the front lines soon.

I suppose I should start back where I left off. Right. Bryce. He’s a really nice guy, although, “nice” isn’t really the word. He’s radiant. It’s like he’s literally glowing, although, that could just be the color of his hair—No, Bryce has always glowed like that, even when we were kids (His hair was brown back then).

Even though he’s new like me, people turn around when he walks into a room. It’s almost paranormal. Bryce is a natural leader, always has been. He’s always had a lot of friends, even if we’ve never been extremely close in the first place. I’d like to think that we were, that we *are* still pretty close.
