The blood ran down quicker than what she could move away, leaving a trail after herself as she moved. The nerves on this body might be dead but leaving a wound like that would inevitably cause it to rot away into nothing. Ares eyes seemed to harden as he watched her try and get away.
“This is really disappointing.”
Both of them were once again having an inner turmoil as Ena pulled themselves together and put up a proper shield. Withstanding Ares next strike with enough time to engulf her hand in flames. Reaching up to her shoulder and cauterizing the wound before the same flames reached for the spear and melted it down.
A smile reached up to his face, “Yes, this is what I want. Put up a fight!” Dropping the spear as he smashed his own shield onto her makeshift magical one. Cracking it as their hand reached out again and melted the shield in the same swoop as reaching up to his neck.
Catching a glimpse of his own hand grabbing onto her before smashing her on the ground, “You really are all magic. I have a question for ya. If all that magic disappears for good, do you disappear with it?”
The glare in his eyes as he looked down at her darkened, “Will your corpse rot when that happens?”
Their eyes closed shut as a smile perked up on her lips, “I’m already rotting away as it is, What difference would a little more or a little less magic make? A corpse cannot heal on ts own, its as frail as a dried up leaf under your feet.”
As her eyes opened up her blue eyes were gone, replaced by soulless white ones without a pupil, her face slightly torn up and bruised all over, “I’m just ever so amused with you falling for the same trick.”
The glare hed been holding dropped as he turned his back to her. Seeing Ena already at the other side holding the helmet in her hands, “Dammit.”
Ena waved at him, “You lose again.”
Ares huffed, throwing the half melted shield aside. He looked at her, her white grin widening as she held up the helmet, “we don’t ever talk about this again.” he said, turning back towards the entrance.
“Fine.”
“Do you really want us to take this however?”Ena, looking at the helmet.
“Take it, lock it up, and don’t ever let Hermes have it again. Or you can ignore me and do as you please.” He shrugged, and smiled, “You could give it to Hephaestus and strike a deal with him instead.”
Enaya got herself up looking at Ares, “You seem mopey for a dog who's been playing.”
Ares glared, “You seem talkative for a mangled corpse.”
Enaya grinned as Ena pushed her aside telling her to be quiet, “I’ll take our leave now, its been nice seeing you Ares.”
“Cut the crap and get out.”
Opening a portal behind herself she pushed Enaya threw, wanting to leave before anything else got out of her mouth.
“Why are we going so soon? I'm perfectly stable.” Enaya insisted, her bruised up face saying otherwise but her smile remained unchanged even with her bloodied teeth.
“Well if you're ever actually stable again, I'd be up for a rematch.”
Getting both of themselves out and stumbling into their living room Enaya hands had already decomposed mostly. Having a foul smell and color while Ena rushed around. The potions weren't finished and at this rate Enaya would be just a pile of rot in a couple hours.
