~ 9:30pm~

Everything was relatively quiet as Selena went to find some dinner. She was still uncomfortable with this new place; the rumors had been wrong though. The people Selena had seen were easy-going and diverse, not even close to what went around W.V secondary. However, if it truly was a rumored party town Selena was hoping to be back to her motel before they started up.

She was looking for a variety store like the one she went to last night. The ones Selena had already been into only had things like candy or food that needed a microwave.

"Joseph’s house buffet" gave off a wave of flavors that crashed in Selena’s stomach making it growl.

Stepping closer to the door she saw a small sign in the window with "$17 per person, all you can eat" printed in bold. Selena did not want to spend that much money and to avoid temptation she stepped back to the sidewalk.

As Selena went on, the stores turned into apartments and houses. The sky had become a deep blue and she knew things would start up soon.

Selena decided to go a few more blocks further before calling it a night. After a block, she realized the parties had already started.

With her own friends Selena rarely went to such parties and she most definitely never went on her own.

Seemingly the large pack of people that looked a year or two older than Selena thought she was one of their friends. She was stuck in the middle of them as she thought about how if some random person joined her friend group, she would notice right away. To these guys, she was invisible until one started chatting with Selena.

"Saturdays man. No worries, No parents, No school," He rambled on like he was talking to himself, but looking straight at Selena.

The group was turning into a yard which gave Selena the opening she had been waiting for. Selena went to leave when the guy threw his arm over her shoulders.

" You’re going the wrong way!", he all but shouted.

Selena was in shock, she didn't know if he thought she was someone else or if he thought they were friends because of the group, and she had no clue what to do.

Her 'bud' pulled her into the house down a hallway filled with people to a kitchen where Selena could barely breathe there were that many people. They ended up in front of a table with sodas and alcohol, cups were being plucked off a pile and filled.

"Whaat do you want?", He asked. His voice was a little slurred so Selena assumed he did some pre-party drinking.

She backed up a little," Nothing"

Shrugging the guy finally let Selena go, to go mix himself a drink or grab a beer she didn't know.

Selena turned so quickly that she ran into another person. Trying to get out as soon as possible she mumbled," Sorry", then stepped towards the door.

Once again, an arm was looped around Selena to pull her back into the chaos.
