To my family,
You may find this humorous, but I think I’ve found an upstanding young man-one that would suit our dear Hallie rather well.
He’s not overly outspoken, but he is well-read. He’s well-kept, despite our conditions. He’s also quite handsome, rather, I’d assume Hallie would consider him so-I believe he’d be a great addition to our family one day, not to mention the two of us get along great already.
Adrian’s an old friend of mine, since we were boys. Mother, you may have heard me mention him once or twice or seen his name on a letter—Adrian Forrest. We’re in the same company, so we’re much closer than we have been.
I really don’t think there’s much harm in introducing him to Hallie. What do you all think? Adrian’s not opposed to the idea.
With love,
Bryce
