"Is Magic Evil?": Exclusive Interview with Broomstick Sorcerer
Aug 12, 2022
Background on Reese "Broomstick" Smellcough
Reese Smellcough's name has been the topic of popular talk ever since releasing three dozen hellbeasts into a public area. Many rejoiced as the infamous Broomstick Sorcerer was arrested, but what did young Reese Smellcough do to earn his reputation over the years?
At the age of ten, Reese began experimenting with an enchanted broomstick he found, realizing quickly what chaos he could conjure. He started with pranks and quickly turned to theft, murder, and other mischief like that.
Now, Reese is widely hated for his acts of vandalism, defacing statues and buildings with his magic and causing distress for the Foolfoot citizens.
Interview with the Broomstick Sorcerer
We met with Reese to discuss his point-of-view. Here are some highlights:
What inspired you to choose this path in life?
Reese: "I don't know. I guess it just kinda happened."
What motivated this most recent event?
Reese: "It was funny."
How did you learn to tap into hellmagic?
Reese: "I didn't. I've said multiple times already that I'm not a sorcerer. I'm literally just some guy."
Do you think magic is evil?
Reese: "What? I don't know or care. Nothing I've ever done has involved magic."
Is there anything else you'd like to say to the readers and the citizens of Foolfoot?
Reese: "No, I don't really care that much."
After the interview, the sorcerer was returned to his jail cell. With little information available to the public, we can only assume the trial will take place within the next set of days.
