Colett’s pov
I hate this. For some reason, I've just never been big on exercising, and at times like this I wish I was. Cole was content with leaving me in the woods to fend for myself. Now don’t get me wrong, I hate him. But the small thing is, I hate the woods. I know I live in the woods, but in a house. In my own house. With wifi and air conditioning. I never leave it except for school and the occasional time when I go out with my friends. There’s just too many bugs and so much dirt and it's just messy. With that being said, I have no idea how to get back to school.
Taking out my phone, I started trying to call my best friend, Annette, to get me out of there. Key word trying. Now let me tell you, that girl knows how to make the perfect winged liner and can change oil on your car, but can’t, for the life of her, text back in a reasonable time or answer the phone.
Third person pov
“Hello?” came a slightly deep yet soft voice, the confusion evident in their voice. “Annie, I’m lost,” said the red-haired girl. Looking around, trying not to freak herself out while waiting for a response.
“ Where are you?” Annette said whispering because she didn't want to get kicked out of the library. The only place they were allowed to go and skip class with the excuse of the librarian needing her.
“Where are you?” Annette repeated, this time speaking a little louder and firmly. Sounding more like a parent than a friend, trying to sound calm yet showing concern, considering the usually boisterous and confident Irish girl was terrified.
