I woke up, hearing a feminine voice downstairs. I took a minute before stepping out of the bed and getting ready for the day. When it was done, I made my way downstairs, the voice getting louder at every step.
"Hello!" Sylvie exclaimed cheerfully and I replied back with a smile.
As always, I checked if there was any new message and I smiled when I heard Ante's voice a few seconds later. I opened the fridge, taking out the pancakes he left and put them on the counter while I prepared myself a cup of coffee.
"Would you like something to drink? Or do you want some pancakes?" I asked Sylvie while waiting for my coffee to be ready.
"I'm good, thank you. Do you want something, Ethan?"
"No, I'm not hungry anymore." He replied quietly before adding quickly. "Hello."
"Good morning, I didn't know you were awake." I answered as I took my steamy cup. "Did you enjoy the pancakes?"
"They were good." He replied and I smiled as I sat around the table and started my breakfast. I didn't expect him to tell me so many words.
"Ante is a really talented cook. If you tell us your favorite meal, he could make it."
"I like chicken and potatoes with sauce." He told me after a minute of silence.
I smiled again, happy that he was opening up, at least with me. It was a step in the right direction. "Got it. I'll let him know unless you want to be the one asking him. It would make him happy if you did."
He didn't answer and I finished my breakfast before putting the dishes in the sink.
"Do you have any plans? Ethan and I were planning to play with modeling clay, you could join us." Sylvie explained, making me stop in my tracks.
"I know I have many talents but I'm not sure I'll be very good at it." I answered, wondering what I could do. This answer made Ethan chuckle so quietly that I almost didn't hear it. "But I can try a little."
If me trying modeling clay could help Ethan trust us and open to Ante, it would be great. I didn't want yesterday evening to repeat again.
"Okay so what do I do?" I asked once we were all sitting around the kitchen table.
"You pick colors and create what you want." Sylvie explained before adding. "Or just one color."
"Just give me the color you don't want, I don't really care." I added and opened the little plastic box someone put in my hands.
I removed the clay from the box and started malaxing it. The smell and the texture were nice and soft and, so far, it was a lot more enjoyable than I thought it would be. I took some clay and made a small ball before flattening it against the table. I took two smaller balls to create some eyes and then took some clay and tried to make a small, slightly curved line to make a smile. I then took some and tried to make a nose before putting them all on the face I created earlier, hoping they would be at the right place.
"What is it?" Ethan asked, breaking the silence.
"It's supposed to be me." My answer made him laugh and I stopped in my tracks. "Is it that bad?"
"You put one of your eyes next to the mouth!" He said, laughing again.
"Well... That wasn't what I had in mind and I hope I don't look like that in real life." I chuckled before adding. "Instead of laughing at me, would you mind putting my eye back at its place?"
"Done!" He answered and I thanked him.
"What are you making?" I asked as I tried to create hair with the rest of my clay.
"A dinosaur."
"I bet it looks cool and better that whatever I'm doing. And you Sylvie?"
"I'm just making a dog." She answered and I smiled.
We stopped once we were done with our clay and I got up to stretch my back. "If someone could put mine away, it would be great. I want to show it to Ante when he comes back. I want him to be impressed by the talent I didn't even know I had. You should show him yours as well!" I added before going to the living room. "If anyone is looking for me, I'm going to exercise a little."
I went upstairs to change into some workout clothes before going back to the living room and doing my usual simple workout routine. In the background, I could hear Sylvie entertaining Ethan and, from what I could understand, it looked like they were playing a game. For lunch, I was planning to prepare something simple when Sylvie proposed her and Ethan's help.
"Everything works by voice?" She asked as I was cutting some vegetables.
"Yes. It had been life changing for me as I can help with cooking. It didn't exist when I was young so I could only prepare very easy things like sandwiches or salads. Now, I can actually make more meals." I explained with a smile.
"I'm done cutting my cucumber!" Ethan said a minute later.
"It's a courgette." Sylvie explained and I could hear the smile in her voice. "I'm done with the onions and the potatoes."
"And I'm done as well!" I added, putting the knife down.
We put all of our ingredients in a plate before adding some cream and putting it in the oven. When it was ready, we sat around the table and ate in silence.
"It was good, no?" Sylvie asked once we were done.
"Yes." Ethan answered, making me nod.
I spent the rest of the afternoon outside, sitting on a chair and reading a book while enjoying the sun on my skin. I jumped a little when I heard Ante's voice, pulling me out of my reading. "So, how was it?"
"You scared me! I didn't hear you!" I exclaimed, closing my book before getting up to kiss him. "It went well. Did you see the clay figures we made yet?" I asked, changing the subject.
"No, you made one?" He asked back and I nodded, leading him to the kitchen.
"Ethan, you didn't show him our art!" I exclaimed, entering the kitchen where I heard voices a few seconds earlier. "Where are they?"
"I put them on the microwave." Sylvie said before telling us goodbye.
"It's great! Which one is yours?" Ante asked and I waited a few seconds, not knowing if he was speaking to me or Ethan.
"I made the dinosaur." Ethan ended up saying softly.
"It's really well done, you're talented. And I guess you made the... the face?" Ante guessed, making me smile.
"How did you guess?"
"Both eyes are next to the mouth." He answered, making my mouth drop a little.
"Hey, I thought you were supposed to put the eye back at its place, not misplace the other!" I exclaimed indigned, turning in the direction of Ethan's slight laugher. Ethan laughed again, making Ante laugh. I crossed my arms, trying not to smile but failing miserably: it was contagious.
"But it's not bad! You can still see it's a face. It's more than I could have done if I was blind." Ante added, trying to redeem himself. I smiled, not answering as we reheated the leftovers. We ate and then washed the dishes. "Ethan, it's time for you to shower..." He said before quickly adding. "We can do the same thing than we did yesterday, if you want."
I could feel that the air was a little tense but I kept my mouth shut, knowing there was nothing I could do to ease the situation.
"Okay..."
We went upstairs and, just like yesterday, Ante stayed outside while I entered in the bathroom with Ethan and waited for him to wash himself. I listened to him as he told me about the different games he played with Sylvie and we left the bathroom once he was done. I was glad that today went by more smoothly than yesterday and I hoped things would continue that way. We wished Ethan a good night and then took turn to shower before going in our bedroom.
I immediately crawled closer to Ante and kissed one of his shoulders before trailing off to his neck.
"What are you doing?" He mumbled, his voice half hidden by the pillow. I smiled, not answering as my hand was moving up and down his back. "I-I'm not sure it's a good idea... Ethan could hear us..."
"Not if you stay quiet." I whispered in his ear as my hand moved to his ass, squeezing it softly.
I enjoyed the way he shivered against my touch and felt him turn around slightly. I could feel his lips a few centimeters away from mine and I closed the gap, enjoying the warmth of his breath. "What if he enters the room?" He whispered as soon as I broke the kiss.
"Do you think he will?" I asked back, highly doubting he would have the courage to open the door of our bedroom and disturb us. It didn't fit with his quiet personality.
"I-... You're right..." He ended up whispering after a few seconds.
My smile grew bigger, taking this as an agreement. I let my hands roam again all over his body, stopping at spots I knew were sensitive for him and enjoying hearing his soft moans. I would never get bored of it. Without waiting any longer, I started to remove the little clothing he had, wanting to continue what we began...
♂+♂=♥
I woke up, feeling someone moving next to me. I was surprised not to feel the sun on my skin, meaning it was still the middle of the night.
"You're not sleeping?" I whispered, crawling closer to Ante.
"No... Imogen's words keep replaying in my head..."
"What words?" I asked feeling confused. He never told me about it.
"This morning she told me that a woman wanted to talk to me on Friday but I had already left. She's supposed to come back this week and I don't know why or even who she is..." He whispered back and, from the tone of his voice, I could hear that it was bothering him.
"Maybe her kid needs some help?" I tried to guess.
"I doubt it. Imogen told me that she specifically asked for me. But I-... Why me? It's driving me crazy..."
"Hey, it's fine. Whoever it is, just give her the name of someone who could help her and wish her well. Don't think too hard about it, I'm sure it's nothing to worry about." I told him softly before kissing his temple.
"I know you're probably right but you know me... Always worrying about everything."
I hugged him and passed a hand through his hair softly, hoping this would help him fall asleep. I stopped my movements when I heard his breathing slow down before trying to fall asleep. Whoever this woman was, I hoped I was right and that she wouldn't cause any problem in our lives...
