While exploring the forest he came to a small house near a lake.
"Does anyone live inside this dwelling?"
^...^
Despite trying to converse with the soul several times, he received no response, as if it wanted to ignore him, but nevertheless he continued to speak to it.
Approaching the door he started knocking.
"Heyyy, is anyone home?"
From inside the house he heard no sound, so he tried to enter, and as he turned the knob the lock clicked, opening the door.
The interior of the house was bare and simple, as if there were only the necessities of life, nothing more, nothing less.
Entering the dwelling he began to explore it, coming to the conclusion that someone still lived there and had probably just left.
^I advise you to get out of this house, its owner is a madman.^.
"Hey, so you were ignoring me all this time while I was talking to you?"
^Get out of here, just the thought of even hearing that crazy man's voice and I get a headache.^.
As Nemesis and The Soul Trapped Inside the Eternal Void began to argue, the door slamming was heard.
"Who dared to enter my house while I was out?"
^Too late...^
A muscular man with a broadsword strapped to his hip approached Nemesis, with every step he took one could feel the floor shaking, as if it were a living earthquake.
"H-hey... Sorry I didn't know it was your house.... As I was walking through the forest I arrived in front of your house and..."
"And you entered without my permission inside my house."
"Well... yes... But I had no bad intentions.... I just wanted to see if it was inhabited or not.... "
"Well now you know, you're free to leave."
"Y-yes..."
Making a small bow, as if to apologise, he hurried out. As soon as he got out he started running, getting as far away from the house as possible.
"Who the hell was that! I've never seen anyone have so many muscles in my life, and how was he carrying such a big sword!"
^As I told you before.... A madman.^
Nemesis who had never been so scared in his life continued running until his legs begged for mercy. Slumping against a tree he breathed heavily, trying to catch his breath.
"Next time at least let me know if I'm about to enter the house of someone you know and it's like him."
^I told you to go away.^.
"Warn me before I enter, not when he's already arrived!!!"
^I never imagined he was on the First Floor...^.
"Then how the hell do you know him?!"
^Long story too...^.
Suddenly a snake at least forty centimetres wide leapt towards Nemesis, trying to bite him, but half a second before it managed to bite him its head fell to the ground.
Nemesis was petrified, first the snake had come out of nowhere, and immediately afterwards the owner of the house had reappeared and with his greatsword had cut off the snake's head in one blow, decapitating it.
The snake's blood began to drip onto Nemesis who immediately jumped away terrified, but his legs could not hold him up, fear had paralysed him to death.
[Warning! You are affected by the negative status Fear].
[You couldn't resist!]
"Oi kid, didn't you see all the signs I had put in the trees? This area is inhabited by Titan-boas, they are dangerous for newbies like you. Do you want to die?"
Nemesis couldn't even speak, never in his life had he witnessed something like this and he didn't know how to react.
"Phew..."
Taking him by the collar of his shirt he lifted him up and resting him on his shoulder like a sack of potatoes he began to carry him back towards his home.
*******
"Can anyone know why you went inside the Tower if you're so weak?"
"I-I... I came here to save a friend of my friend and learn about my past...."
"How can you help someone when you can't even help yourself?"
"..."
"Phew... Anyway my name is Balfer, what's your name?"
"My name is Nemesis..."
Balfer's eyes were stunned for only a moment to immediately return to the same as before.
"Nice to meet you Nemesis, if you proceed in that direction you will arrive outside the forest, if you then go north in two days you should arrive at a city inhabited by humans. There you can find many people who can help you become stronger, and if you are lucky you might even find a master."
"Alright... thanks..."
Being knocked down he adjusted his clothes, which were all wrinkled while still stained with blood.
Nemesis turned towards the part of the woods that Balfer had shown him to walk.

*fiuuuuuu~~~~*
An arrow passed within millimetres of Nemesis' face, wounding him lightly on the cheek.
"Where do you think you're going after what you did to my little one?"
A creature with the body of a human with the horns of a goat was above one of the tree branches.
"Agreus is a misunderstanding... It was I who killed one of your snakes to save this little boy's life.... Take it from me if you have to take it from me..."
Balfer stepped between Nemesis and Agreus, but as if ignoring him another arrow was fired, and parried by Balfer's broadsword.
"You may have killed him, but he trapped him, preventing him from continuing the cycle of life and death."
Balfer turned sharply towards Nemesis, trying to figure out if what he had just heard was the truth.
Nemesis, who was ready to deny everything, looked at the notifications that had come from Nemesis' system and his blood ran cold.
|ABSOLUTE VACUUM ACTIVATED AND THE SOUL OF THE 'TITAN-BOA' WAS TRAPPED INSIDE IT|.
"I... I didn't do it on purpose... I didn't even realise it!!!"
"Tsk... Now step aside Balfer. As we had sealed centuries ago you cannot meddle in the affairs of the Eternal Forest."
"I-I can free him... I really didn't want to take his soul.... It simply all happened so fast that I didn't even realise what happened..."
"I don't know how he got your snake's soul but I would say give him a chance to prove if what he says is the truth, if he is unable to do what he said I will step aside."
Trying to act as an intermediary Balfer tried to help Nemesis in some way, even though there was revulsion in his eyes towards him at that moment.
Agreus came down from the tree and stood in front of Nemesis. Although his body had human features, the closer he got, the more he looked like a mixture between an animal and a plant.
Nemesis had read from the description that he could free souls trapped inside the eternal void but in reality he did not know how to do it, he did not even know how he could talk to it.
A shiver ran through his body, not knowing if he would be able to save himself.
