The sunlight reflecting on the water made her react, so she made her way to the orphanage before they noticed her absence. She walked slowly, humming every song that crossed her mind, and stopped in front of the orphanage after noticing a commotion in the garden. Eira walked silently into the garden, hiding behind a huge oak tree that she had grown quite fond of over the years.
She looked around trying to decipher what was going on, however, it seemed that it hadn't started yet as all the people in the garden kept looking towards the garden gate as they mumbled their speculations on the subject of the meeting.
Suddenly, a loud sound interrupted the bustle and a man appeared. He walked arrogantly, thrusting out his chest and raising his jaw, shamelessly groping every girl who crossed his path, like a peacock proudly modeling his feathers. His expensive clothes and rings on each finger were evidently from satin, something quite extravagant for a man whose position was the orphanage's director.
He finished with his little display, standing in front of everyone. And so, with a deep voice and a penetrating look, his speech started.
- Listen everyone, today I have gathered you all together to give you some good news. After 7 years without a new member in this noble orphanage, finally a new boy has joined us. - he said while forcing a smile.
All the orphans clapped, but she didn't. Eira looked at the scene, turning red with rage, she simply couldn't understand how that man could tell such sad news and insinuate that it was something to celebrate. She wondered if these people didn't realize what it really meant, a boy just like them had lost his family and now had to live with them in that hell. It was not something they should be happy about, that was for sure.
Soon, the clapping stopped, being replaced by expectant looks.
Finally, the boy made his appearance, he was an attractive young man, about 2 years older than her. He had black hair, a fair complexion and a gentle expression. A perfect prince charming, who was soon surrounded by the others. But Eira did not approach him, she simply watched him from afar with a feeling of discomfort, somehow, this boy reminded her of something unpleasant.
In the midst of the commotion, they made eye contact. Her body trembled, and the blood left her face. His eye color was golden and the soft, gentle expression on his face a facade. Eira had already recognized him.
In an instant her world collapsed, she could no longer say that it was just a dream, after all, she had in front of her the man who had tormented her for years in her dreams. The hero of the future who would join the king of darkness and destroy humanity.
Eira has been tormented by the same dream for 7 years. A nightmare, where the hero of the prophecy betrays humanity. At least that's what she believed until a boy named Robin arrives at the orphanage where she lives and.... He turns out to be the hero of her dreams!
Now, she must prevent the hero's blackening and save the world before it's too late. Will it be too late to change her future or will she become his savior?
