"Do you believe I have a chance to be one of the stars? Or maybe a piece of the ocean?"
"I don't know.."
"Hey, when I die, I want to be a coral. I'll be the brightest star in the sky after that."
"Why?"
"If I can't be a mermaid, then I'm fine being a coral. Then I can also be one of the stars."

SOLANA
I never expected to see Sel here in the mall, she doesn't seem to enjoy coming out. Her brow furrowed as she gazed at my friends. Oh, I haven't told her about them yet. "Sel, this is Milo and Amara, my friends."
"Hello, I'm Michael Louize. You can call me Milo during the day, Mila at night." Milo offered their hand to her, Sel immediately accepted it. Amara covered her mouth ro prevent herself from laughing and even whispered something to herself. Milo heard what she said and glared at her.
"Amara, let's not shake hands, it's too formal." She said while waving both of her hands in the air.
Sel nodded and gave them a small smile, "Selene, nice to meet you."
"What are you doing here, Sel?" I walked closer to her.
"I just bought some mats and books," She raised her right arm to show the paper bags she's holding. She's holding three paper bags with arts and crafts equipment and books inside. I didn't bother to ask, she might think that I'm a nosy person. She looked at us, "How about you?"
"We just want to roam around the mall. Do you want to join us? We're going to play in the arcade," I invited.
She asked the enormous man standing behind her for his consent. The man looked at Sel's face, nodded, and smiled slightly in agreement. She looked at Milo and Amara, "Can I join?"
They nodded enthusiastically, Milo replied, "Yes, of course."
We strolled together to the arcade to play, and as soon as we arrived, we went straight to the cashier to buy some tokens so we could play. While playing together, Milo and Amara appear to be still making fun of one another. Meanwhile, Sel and I are playing basketball together. When Sel throws the ball, it shoots, but when I try to throw it, it flies too. I made one more attempt to shoot the ball, but it struck the ring and rebounded in my direction. Before the ball could strike my face, Sel reflexively grasped it with one hand, "Be careful, Sol."
"Yes, sorry. I'm not really good with this." I remarked while blushing, turning my head to cover my face in excitement and humiliation. She continued to follow and fixate on my face, "Then, I'll teach you how to shoot the ball properly."
She inserted tokens into the machine once more so that we could resume playing basketball. She handed me a ball, gently lifted my hands while I held it, and even changed the way my hands were gripping it. She approached me in the ring from behind me and whispered in my ear, giving me the chills, "Aim for that."
"Yes..." I spoke quietly, like though I had no more energy. She is very close, and I can already smell her expensive perfume. She appeared to be still staring at me, but I could feel her presence behind me. The ball I attempted to shoot went in. I sprang for excitement and turned to Sel, "How was that? I did good, right?"
She smiled at me, "Yes, Sol. Good job."
Sel is good at all the games we attempted, so perhaps she is into playing. We kept playing and tried new ones.
Milo shot me a taunting glance as he and Amara drew near to us, "You will look good for each other."
"Both of you and Amara look good together too," I responded in jest. They exchanged synchronized glances and gagging sounds, I could hear Sel laughing softly next to me. I gave her a close look; she is stunning when she laughs or smiles. I often think about her before I go to sleep at night, so maybe I have a crush on her. I spoke subconsciously, "You're pretty."
Milo arched an eyebrow and inquired as they both turned to face me, "Who? Me? I know, thank you."
Amara raised a brow at Milo, "Stop dreaming, you look like the glass' butt."
"Wow, it really came from Boots' twin," Milo countered. Milo faced me and looked straight into my eyes, full of desperation, "It's me, right?"
"Huh? No, it's Sel," I said jokingly. Sel only shook her head and turned her head away while smiling. I looked away, she's really pretty.
Milo rolled their eyes, "Gays."
Sel decided to remain silent while the three of us continued to taunt each other, occasionally chuckling or smiling as she did so. We decided to go at six o'clock because we had run out of money to get home, and Sel even volunteered to drive us. Milo's sitting on the shotgun seat, while Amara, Me and Sel are sitting on the passenger seat. Milo and Amara continue to argue in the car until then, and the humiliating noise that they make inside the vehicle continues, I feel embarrassed for both of them.Amara arrived first and was dropped off in front of their home, Milo's next, they got off on a street near their house, saying he's still have to buy some things for tomorrow. I'm the only one left with Sel inside the car.
"How long have you been friends with them?" Sel faced me and leaned her head through the car's window.
"Milo has been my friend for almost 10 years, as for Amara, she's been my friend for 2 years." I responded and avoided her gaze. I feel like I'll melt if I continue to lock gaze with her.
She tilted her head slightly, "Hmm, that's quite a long time."
"Yeah, Milo has been my classmate and best friend since grade 1," I replied.
"I can be your best friend too, right?" She smiled slightly at me.
"Huh?" I looked at her. She is so gorgeous that I can't help but ogle her face. My cheeks started to heat up, and I immediately thought, 'Wow, she's incredibly pretty. I can't help but stare at her face.' I turned away as soon as my cheeks began to heat up and awkwardly laughed. "Yes, of course. We can even be more than friends." I whispered the last sentence I said, to make sure that she won't hear it.
I spoke with Sel until we arrived at my place. Before entering the home, I first knocked on the window of the car where Sel was sitting. I then opened the car door and got out. She rolled the window down, "Yes, Sol?"
"Thank you for spending time with me and my friends, also thank you for the ride," I gave her a sweet smile.
She smiled back, "No problem, it's fun spending time with you guys. I'll go now, see you next time, Sol"
"Bye-bye, Sel. See you again next time," I waved my hand and waited for her car to disappear from my vision before going inside our house.
My mother was setting the table when I walked in, so I greeted her and told her I was going to the room to take a shower. My mother had undoubtedly been waiting for a while, so I hurried to the bath so she wouldn't have to. My father was seated at the table, taking off his neck tie, as I went outside after taking a shower. He might have just arrived home.
"Dad," I greeted him. He gave a short nod and signaled me to take a seat. Me and my dad are not really that close, he's also stricter than mom, that's why he's more scary, especially when he's mad. "You missed mom's food yesterday, it was your favorite dish."
"Yes, I know. I'm sorry, I had to work overtime since one of my workmates was absent and I had to take his job," He show me and my mom an apologetic smile. He turned to my mom, "On my day off, I'll make it up to you, my love."
I jokingly coughed in their presence and said, "I'm still here, continue that later."
We continued eating while talking about what had happened in our day, and occasionally they would laugh at me. I even offered to wash the dishes after we finished eating, but my mother refused and urged me to rest. I didn't object and immediately walked to my room, leaving my phone there.
When I entered the kitchen, I saw my mother washing the dishes, next to my father. My father wrapped his arm around my mother's waist and rested his head on my mother's head, "You're beautiful, my love."
My mother chuckled, "I'm flattered, we're getting older, and you talk way too much rubbish."
"Even when our hair is completely gray, I will never be weary of telling you how gorgeous you are," My father kissed my mother's temple, "I love you, my love."
My mother smiled at him, "I love you."
My parents' love for one another never ceased to amaze me, so I genuinely appreciate them. One day, I hope to experience that type of unconditional love from someone who can care for me in the same way that my father cares for my mother and who can understand me in the same way that my mother knows my father.
I took a picture of them, I made sure that they wouldn't notice me. I'll print this and include this on the album. After taking multiple pics of them, I decided not to bother them and simply took my phone before returning to my room in silence. As soon as I got inside, I sat down at my study table and immediately printed the photos of my parents and the friends I had taken earlier. I opened my playlist and began playing the music there as I organized the photographs and albums I wanted to play. I also wrote the moments I shared with Sel earlier on a paper strips and folded it into a star, I put it in the jar afterwards.
I laid on my bed and looked up after finishing the record. Sel immediately entered my thoughts as I tried to recall the scenario from earlier in the kitchen. Did I really picture myself in that kind of scenario while thinking of Sel? I mean, if it were Sel, I wouldn't mind, but bitch? Am I developing feelings for her? my goodness. I will admit that she is attractive, but I have no idea if she likes girls. My thoughts turned to Sel's appearance and how stunning she is, noting that her gaze would make you melt.
I whispered subconsciously, "I think, I like her."
