“If you're gonna ask why I don't know either…”

‘Why does she look so…sad?’ Louise thought but then there was a shake on his shoulder. “People are heading here”, Mark alerts him as he loaded a gun.

The door rattled vigorously, few other people gathered to forcefully kick open the door. After a few strong bangs to the door, it broke apart. The guards were able to get in and to their surprise, there was no one in the room except the bodies lying on the ground, they got down and checked for pulses on the bodies. 

“5 people,” Louise whispered.

The room went dim, a flying knife struck a guard calf. The sudden attack made the guards feel scared, Mark shot 3 guards in their shoulders and legs. As they whined in pain, Louise got out of his hiding spot;

“4 down”, he whispers as he approaches the last guard, frozen still surrounded by his dead co-workers. Louise grabbed his neck as he slowly raised him off the ground, when there was no movement left when he freed his neck as the body crashed to the ground. 

Jade get out under the table and took back the knife from the calf she struck earlier, “Okay John Wick we need to run fast, to the east exit”, she said while running out the door. After Mark picks up the bag and goes out, Louise closes the door and goes after them. He caught up to Mark, “I thought you wouldn't use a gun in this situation?”

“Well…I kinda missed holding them,” Mark replied with a grin on his face. Some guards saw them pass by and alerted the security room, the small red button flashing brightly in that lonely and quiet room. A guy opens the door and is greeted with bodies and blood on the ground, like a painting stained by wine. The red blaring light shines on his eyes;

“what happened?”

Sirens blasted the whole building, they kept running faster but an obstacle appeared when a group of guards blocked their path. Mark gives the bag to Louise after he takes out two guns from it, he holds one in each hand. He aimed at their head and gave such clean headshots straight through the brain as blood dripped down to the floor.

Mark looks at Jade, “Are you scared missy? Perhaps you should close your eyes.”

“It doesn't bother me at all,” said the unfazed Jade. 

A guard was pointing a gun at them so Jade threw a knife at his hands which cut his index and middle finger. As the gun which used to be in his hand falls to the ground, Mark followed up with bullets to the head. The exit which they were originally planning to go for got blocked by guards, “Shit” Jade swore.

“Upstairs!” Louise yelled as he led them upstairs.

They ran as fast as they could and made it to the 2nd floor, Mark looked behind them and shot the guards at the back. The bullets he shot nearly grazed Jade's head who was running behind him all this time;

“WHAT THE HELL?!?”

“Sorry~ my arms were so tired from the recoil that I couldn't hold it up anymore,” Mark grinned from the pathetic excuse he told her, she gritted her teeth“…you motherfucker.”

Louise led them to a window, he opened it wide and looked down, he saw a pickup truck parked directly under the window. He tossed the bag out of the window after jumping out and landed on the car and got off. Mark pokes Jade’s back, “Go jump”

Jade turn to him with a scared face, and he reassure her, “Just jump, look even that bastard Louise with a weight of a monkey look fine after jumping off”

“You sure?” she gave a worried look.

“Yes, just close your eyes and fly,” he gestured toward the window.

While Jade was climbing the window, Mark notices a small group of guards heading toward them, “Make it fast, princess”

Jade slowly hops off and lands on the roof of the car, she lets out a yelp then Louise helps her get down. Mark wasted no time and jumped right off, they ran toward the road and stopped a car that was passing by. Louise drags the driver out like in ‘GTA’ and gets inside the car. He unlocked the passenger door, so Mark quickly sat beside him and gave Jade no choice but to sit at the back. Louise hands her the bag, and he switches to the gear and drives off as the tired screech and leave tons of smoke behind them, Jade yell loudly;

“FUCK YOU ASSHOLE AHAHAHAH”

“Calm down woman!” Mark yells back.

Louise ignored both of them and kept driving, and suddenly a bullet came from behind and shattered the back window. The shattered glass pieces were then scattered all over the back seat. Louise looked at the rear mirror, “They’re tailing us already?”

Jade looked back and saw that the police were chasing after them, she swore while swiping the shattered glass off the seat with her bare hands. Mark checked the ammo in his gun, ‘empty…’ he thought to himself. He then asked Jade to pass him the bag, which she threw at his face before shouting at Louise;

“STOP DRIVING LIKE AN OLD GRANDMA AND FUCKING GO FASTER”

“Stop yelling midget!” Louise yelled back. Mark grabbed a new pair of guns and handed her a small handgun, she looked at him with a confused face while examining the gun in her hand. 

“Do you know how to use a gun?” Mark asked. 

Her eyes were two blank dots. Mark sighed and showed her how to hold a gun, “Just aim and pull that little trigger, where you place your finger at," Mark put his head out of the window and with both of his hands holding the gun, he shot at the tires. The cars lost control and bumped into each other, “Did you see that princess? That's how it’s done.”

Jade held the gun Mark gave her and accidentally put a hole in the roof. "JESUS I SAID AIM THEN SHOOT NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND" Mark screamed. 

"OH WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT, NOT ME"

"ain't my car they busted…" Louise said softly. A group of bullets flew at them, and she then decided to return the favour. She aimed through the back of the car, gripping the gun tightly 'One…two…three…' She counted silently in her head like a child that didn't know their numbers past 5. A bullet gorged the brains of an officer, and the person beside them looked in horror, without realising they were about to crash into an oncoming car. 

Without breaking a sweat, the trio felt like goats who just escaped being devoured by tigers. They were now a bunch of shameless goats screaming with joy, their delicious meat had been spared for another day. While stopping at the very familiar half-broken traffic light, Louise addressed the elephant in the room "So where are we dropping you off?"

Jade replied, "Huh… are we not going to your place?"

"What, do you think we’re a motel just gonna let anybody in? Might as well invite our good friend Larry in, man has been crying to piss in our toilet," Mark said with a sarcastic tone.

"Are you homeless?" Louise asked, but before Jade could give any excuses he cut her off with no second thought, "We're not a daycare." He drove as soon as the lights turned green, Jade now feels desperate, "Please I need a place to stay, I have money"

"Then stay at the motel," Mark said while searching for candy in the dashboard. Jade threaten them, "I'll report you to the police for murder and illegal armoury"

"We'll say you're an accomplice" Mark handed Louise an interesting leaf candy, which he threw out the window and Mark let out a dramatic gasp. Jade was at her wit’s end, not that she had much anyway. Louise sees her being nervous and says, "fine…on one condition"

Jade's eyes sparkle with hope, "Yes! anything." Louise looks at her from the rear-view mirror, "You will help me with everything, with no excuses".
