- Who are you, and how did you get in here? - asked a man with a rough voice.
Eira took a deep breath, thinking of a way to get out of the situation unscathed. She stammered unintelligible things as she bought some time to find the perfect excuse. The man, starting to get impatient, threw her body hard against the floor and then pressed her stomach with his foot.
- My name is Eira, and I belong to the orphanage in the city of Hadid, I accidentally entered this place after touching the trunk of an old oak tree that is planted in the orphanage's garden, and now I don't know how to get out of here! - she shouted in desperation.
Silence reigned the place, stimulating the curiosity of the girl, who opened her eyes to take a look at the man who seconds before had attacked her. Surprisingly, he was completely stunned, standing before her with his eyes wide open and a dazed expression. The man muttered something inaudible to himself and finally withdrew his foot from Eira's stomach, sitting down in front of her.
- Listen kiddo, the flower you just stepped on was my favorite, I got carried away with anger and ended up hurting you. I'm really sorry for that. But, that doesn't excuse you for shamelessly breaking through the magical barrier protecting my spiritual sanctuary. - he said after clearing his throat.
After hearing that, her body froze, she was already aware that she wasn't in the orphanage's garden, but she never considered that place to be a spiritual sanctuary. A shudder ran through her body as she understood the enormous trouble she had gotten herself into, she was invading a spiritual sanctuary, a sacred place where only high level spirits were able to enter, so a severe offense had already been committed by entering, but that was not all, she had accidentally offended that man, who was without a doubt a spirit, the supreme authorities of the world.
The man seemed to realize what she was thinking, and quickly broke the silence that had formed.
- I see you've already realized what you've done. - he crossed his arms while tilting his head to the right. - Normally I would have finished you off immediately, but, taking into consideration the enormous regret you are showing on your face, I will forgive you. However, you will have to take responsibility for your actions and plant a new flower for me. What do you think?
Eira nodded vigorously, since she felt bad for having caused so much trouble, besides, she didn't feel as if she had a choice, it was either do or die. The man revealed an expression of satisfaction at her prompt response, pulling out some seeds and gardening equipment from a bag he had tied around his waist. Eira looked in amazement at the small bag that had been able to carry such things, but the man only shrugged.
As soon as the man handed her what she needed, the little girl immediately set to work. Watching her from afar, he smiled discreetly as he watched the girl happily working in his garden, giving her little hints from time to time. And so, in just 25 minutes, the girl skillfully planted the entire bag of seeds, intending to leave the man a flowerbed in his sanctuary.
He lazily walked over to her and looked at the future flowerbed. He patted Eira's head a few times, as though praising her work. Furthermore, he extended his hand to the right, making a strange chant, opening in that direction a small portal that would lead the girl back to the orphanage's garden. Eira approached the portal, waving her hand in farewell and just as she was about to leave, the man stopped her.
- I almost forgot Eira, remember to come tomorrow to check out the flowers.
- Huh? I have to come again?! - she said, surprised.
- Of course you should! What you ruined was a flower in its full bloom, don't tell me you thought you'd solve everything just by planting the seeds.
- Of course I didn't. - she declared as she looked away with some discomfort.
- Then I'll see you tomorrow.
That was the last thing she heard before he pushed her through the portal, causing her to fall between some bushes. She let out a cry of pain as she cursed the man within her mind, until she felt her arm being held tightly, causing her head to turn in that direction.
At that moment, she remembered an important detail she had forgotten, the reason she was running before entering the man's sanctuary... It was to escape from Robin! Unfortunately, she remembered it too late, after all, what made her remember such a detail, was Robin himself, who sighed in relief while holding her arm. Eira tilted her head to one side, she didn't understand why he was so relieved, but she was glad he was no longer emitting that terrifying aura.
Robin gave her a mischievous look, before reminding her that she needed to hurry if she wanted to have dinner ready in time. She opened her eyes in disbelief, watching as he pointed mockingly at the setting sun. Eira ran at full speed on her way to the kitchen, as he watched her small figure disappear with the distance. Robin frowned in irritation, as he shook his hair in frustration.
- Damn it, how can I get close to her? - he muttered.
Eira has been tormented by the same dream for 7 years. A nightmare, where the hero of the prophecy betrays humanity. At least that's what she believed until a boy named Robin arrives at the orphanage where she lives and.... He turns out to be the hero of her dreams!
Now, she must prevent the hero's blackening and save the world before it's too late. Will it be too late to change her future or will she become his savior?
