I walk up to see Malory on her bed with her leg over the side. Her foot is right above my head. I shoot up in disgust. I stand up and walk over to the closed door. I open it and walk out. 

    I walk down the stairs and into the kitchen. I see Megan (malory's mom) cooking pancakes. “Good Morning pumpkin.”

   “ Good morning Meg.”

  “ Okay, do you want syrup or whip cream on your first day of summer pancakes.” She says this as she puts a pancake on a plate. 

  “ Whipped cream and strawberries. Wait, do you have strawberries?”

 “ Of course sweetie.” She sprays cream on the pancake and grabs a bowl of strawberries. She plops them on the pancake and sets the plate in front of me. Next she grabs a picher of OJ and pours it in a glass.

   “ Thanks Meg.” 

           “ Oh, you're welcome.” Then I hear footsteps coming from the stairs. 

   “ Morning, oh Rylee, I heard your phone go off so that's what woke me up.” She sounds irritated. That's when it hits me, Jace. I leave everything and run up the stairs. Up into the room and grab my phone then I open it. I go to the little call button and see 3 missed calls. I then put jaces number in and called him. 

   “Hello”. I hear his voice and sigh.

   “ Hey Jace it's me Rylee, I was wondering if you wanted to meet me at all booked up?” I try to sound girly and flirty but I don't think it sounds like I am.

   “ Sure, I'll see you there at 2.”

  “ Okay! it's a date.'' I say

      “Ok later.” he hangs up. I feel exhilarated. So I grab my bag and change into my oversized cropped grey shirt and a pair of my high waisted jean shorts. I walk out of the room and into the bathroom.

    When I go in I see my face. My eyes are brown with long eyelashes. As well as a freckled face. With shoulder length caramel hair with blond tips. I grab the hair brush in the drawer and brush my hair. Next I braid my hair. I then put some blush and highlighter on. Finally I grab Malory's mascara and put some on. 

   I leave the bathroom and walk down the stairs. I see Meg and Mallory with wide eyes like they don't even know what happened. I walk over to the counter to eat my food and see my whip cream has melted a little. “ So what was that about?" Malory says. 

   "Oh Jace called me and I'm going on my first date, you know the usual." I put my fork and eat my food now. 

    " Hey girls I’ve got to go."    

      " Okay mom, have a good day at work." Megan walks over to Mallory and kisses her on the head then grabs her keys. She walks out of the door and is gone.  

    We wait a few minutes then Mallory speaks. "Thank god she is gone. Now I can get ready and go meet Max and you meet Jace''. She then makes a kissy face and walks up the stairs.  Since she's gone I try to eat all my pancakes before she requests some stupid idea and leaves me to starve on our "adventure". 

       After five minutes of me eating food and Mallory getting ready Mallory comes down the stairs and is in a salmon and whicter romper with her hair in a messy bun. She is also wearing sunglasses and a pair of flip flops with some light makeup. 

   " So, how do I look?" is all she says. 

      " You look gorgeous to me ." I say.

              "Girl, you make that shirt and jeans look like they were made by a fashion icon." she says. 

     "Thanks Mal, so what's on the agenda for the day?" I say. Although I knew we would probably go to the beach.
