"You're going too far, know your place" he stated plainly with a bland face. His eyes showed the emptiness both did and didn't exist.

"What are you compared to me? Does a mere carbon-based lifeform dare to give me orders? Where were you when the universe was created?" roared Void, her voice causing reality to quake as she spoke.
As her words hit him, he began to see. See what true despair was. This being, this God had been around since the beginning of time. Void made a pained expression as she continued. Almost in tears.
"I have been around since before the existence of time itself. A human like you who has conformed to the concept of time and space can never even begin to dream of what true pain is."
"I have watched over a quintillion stars explode, and I have destroyed civilizations that dared to defy me even after all the good I've done for them." she continued.
"For
supereons, I have been cursed to wonder this Void without being granted
the release of death. That isn't even 1 percent of the things I have been
forced to endure," she said as tears streamed down her cheeks.
"I have lived amongst countless civilizations without ever knowing, understanding, or experiencing the concept of love. I don't even want a relationship, I just wanted someone to ask if I was okay."
"I have lost my mind to solitude an infinite amount of times, in an infinite amount of ways, in an infinite amount of Universes, and in my madness, I have both ended and restarted the universe an infinite amount of times." she paused for Izuki to make some kind of remark.
But he didn't, he stayed silent. He had nothing to say. His pain was minuscule compared to what Void had gone through.
"I can never truly enjoy any moment with any time-bound life form cause the moment I close my eyes for a nanosecond they aren't just dead. The concept of their civilization has been wiped off the face of the cosmos. Where they once were... replaced with a completely different civilization. So what do you, a mere Homosapien have to say?"
Izuki was dumbfounded. He had nothing to say. What was his pain compared to Void? She had done everything, regretted everything, felt everything. And yet, she said she still had nothing. What a pained existence, maybe were not so different after all.
"My apologies, I undermined your pain without knowing a thing about you. I am sorry" he said solemnly.
"Ha, *sniff so you're not completely hard-nosed huh?" she said amidst tears.
"I was out of line. Why don't you tell me about yourself?" he said with a smile.
"Hmph, look at you telling me to open up to you when you still have those empty eyes. You're a hypocrite" she said sadly.
"Yeah, I know. I wake up, I go to work, and I sleep. Rinse and repeat. I don't talk to anyone. I don't care for anyone. I don't want to care for anyone either. But, I feel like I can try and relate to you. Let me understand your pain." he replied while handing her the handkerchief from his suit.
...
"Fine," she said. "Allow me to bore you with the sob story of an ancient god," she said as a smile formed on her face.
"I would be honored. But where am I though?" he asked as he looked around confused.
"Oh, right. You are in my domain. We exist both nowhere and somewhere near the edge of the Galaxy." she said plainly.
"To put it simply. I called you here because you died," she said. "I am to judge you and decide whether you'll be re-incarnated or not."
"I see. I understand now thank you, now back to your story." Izuki stated plainly.
....
"That's it?" she said surprised.
"What's it?" He asked confused.
"I just told you that you're dead," she said.
"And?" he said plainly.
"I dunno. I guess I expected you to break down or something." Void said with a smirk.
"What? Why would I do that exactly?" Izuki said. "You said it yourself, I'm dead. Thinking on it won't do much now would it?"
"You're an interesting human. Kikuhara Izuki," she said as she poured him another cup of tea.
"I know, now about that story," he said as he casually sipped his tea.
"Oh yes of course! But where to start? I guess at the beginning? Now picture this. Emptiness as far as the eyes can count. And darkness darker than dark stretching to infinity. That's where I was born."
To be continued...
