The following are allowed methods at Cornet High. Failure to comply with them and outside methods will result in immediate expulsion and a loss of all credits.
Students may gain credits (receive an addition of credits) through various means. Credits are school-issued every month based on performance at school. Performance is measured on curriculum activities and scores from school-issued tests.
Students may lose credits via what is termed a loss—a deduction of credits—through school-issued punishment or a result of the case of the caveats listed below. A credit total of fifteen (15) or less will result in two days’ grace where the student can attempt to gain credits. If the student’s credits are still fifteen (15) or under, they will be expelled.
ACCEPTED METHODS OF TRANSFER
Cornet High allows certain methods of transfer to take place through phones. Any method outside of this is punishable by the Academy and immediate expulsion. The accepted methods are these:
Expenditure (Direct Credit): The most common method. The student makes a payment through their phone resulting in a deduction of credits in order to gain something (which is not credits).
Gifting: The student makes a payment through their phone resulting in a deduction of credits to themselves, but receives nothing in return. This will result in a gain in credits for their payee.
Loaning: The student makes a payment through their phone to another student, giving them credits. However, the payer expects that number of credits, plus 3% interest compounded weekly, from the payee. The one who receives credits from the Loaning must pay it back. Both parties must accept to the terms (a signed consent form on their phones must be received by the Academy).
Gambling: Can only be done if both parties are officially over the age of sixteen. Students will pool their money into a temporary third party (an ATM at the school) which will hold their credits indefinitely until the gamble has finished, then distribute all credits to the winner (or winners) of the gamble. Students will set the rules of the gamble and must video their gamble, which will then be reviewed by the Academy.
Transference: Students with a small amount of credits (fifty (50) or less) have the option of “balancing out”, or Transference, with another student who also has fifty (50) or less credits. Both parties must accept to the terms (a signed consent form on their phones which must be received by the Academy). With a Transference, their credits are shared and evened out to the same total. In the case that one student has credits that total an uneven number and the other student has an even number, the credits will still be allocated evenly, resulting in a half-a-credit ending (.5).
ADDENDUM
Current scores of credits must be displayed on the student’s body at all times after their first day at the Academy.
Individual classrooms and instructors may have their own Academy-approved way of distributing credits (distribution being the giving and/or taking of credits, resulting in gains and/or losses).
