The land looks peaceful, but their thoughts are ridden with hidden chaos. The child may not express in words, but she can feel there’s something on her father’s mind.
“Father, where did you come from?” The eldest welcomes her father.
Her younger brother stands up from the ground, rubbing his eyes.
“Keep them asleep before I go insane,” the father snapped, looking at the boy, and ignoring her question. She nodded in reply and helped her brother to lie down.
“Sister, sing to me that song. I want to hear it and remember when I wake up,” the boy said in his drowsy voice. Her lips curved, and she opened it, making no sound.
