~ Sarah Red-Wind ~
Year G0384 - Month 1 - Day 3
The Gold Village
Picking up the small child from her bed, Sarah stared at her with wonder. Slowly a pair of sleepy, dark brown eyes looked up at Sarah. A small yawn broke the silence, as the golden haired child rubbed her eyes. She was so small, and looked as if she could break at just the slightest touch.
"Auntie?" She asked slowly.
"Yes child, it's me," Sarah gave a small smile.
"Renea, my beautiful baby girl. You're going to be traveling with Auntie for a while, okay?" Samantha spoke from behind Sarah.
"Mama?" Renea muttered with confusion.
"Do you understand, you've gotta go with your auntie. We'll be along later," She tried her best to explain.
"No mama," Renea lifted her hands to her mother, tears in her eyes.
"Yes my child this is all for the best," Samantha tried to console her child.
"No, no mama!"
"Renea, listen to me. You're mama and papa will be coming along with us later," Sarah spoke up with a stern voice.
Renea stared up at her mother, her aunt and her father who had yet to speak a word. Tears welled up in her eyes and she began to cry from the several voices that were speaking to her in such an unusual way. Samantha quickly took her from Sarah's hands and held her close to her chest mumbling apologies to her daughter as feelings began to overtake her.
"P-Papa? Mama!" Renea cried when Rashtel finally set his heavy hand onto the small girl's head. Almost immediately Renea stopped crying and looked up at her father reaching her arms out towards him. Still whimpering as she tried to get Rashtel to pick her up.
"Renea Goldson, you are my child, you are strong and smart. You will be okay, your mother and I will follow you soon. Right now though you need to leave with Sarah. She will be your Keeper until we are able to return to you, do you understand?" Rashtel spoke confidently.
Renea stared up at her father before finally she slowly nodded, her tears still in her eyes. Quickly Sarah picked up the young girl from her mother's arms and quietly she left the room. There wasn't another word shared between the child and the adult as they began to flee. Under the cover of night Sarah headed towards the stables, however what waited for her was not a simple horse to take her away.
