Jensen packed his huge yellow cloak into his pack. Kayla placed her black cloak into her pack too. Ashwa tied her flaming red hair with a tree root, since Dunce didn’t want to waste any time using his magic,
as he wanted to "store" them until the enemy came. Nadine stroked a sunflower out in the garden. Asco was to be stayed behind, along with Dunce for more important information to search for. Asco didn't mind, since he
had enough of being scared. Plus, he had found his love for plants unbearable to set aside. And so, they were all ready for farewell. But before they go however, they each received a small gift from Dunce.
He walked towards the companions. "I have seen many quest mates come and go. But this might be the first time I give splendid gifts that I have prepared," he said.
Four amulets suddenly appeared in mid-air, flashing jewels in place. The golden chain hooked around each of their necks, sparkling at their touch. Four necklaces locked in place. Ashwa’s red as fire, Nadine’s green as grass, Kayla’s white as a diamond, Jensen’s golden as gold.
“These stuffs are magical, kids. They will save you when it is needed and prevent you from death if the person is part of the future. Oh well, can’t promise you nothing, youngsters. And there’s something else…” the old man trailed off, as a magnificent white horse stalked into the group. “Siraj the white,” he finished.
At last, they hugged goodbye and started off at the great road ahead. Asco told Kayla what he had known, and they two reunited as family. Then with a sad heart, the companions started to climb across the hills. Until the figures down below disappeared did, they start to talk. It was Jensen who had spoken first.
“Well, great start, isn’t it?”
“Nah, with fire lady burning right beside me,” Nadine said, frowning and glaring at Ashwa.
“C’mon Nadine. Just break the ice. We must forge ahead. Ash and you need to get along,” Jensen said, before Ashwa could say anything back to the pixie girl.
But nothing was said anymore, as Nadine glared at Ashwa and Ashwa at her. The two older elves kept walking ahead, ignoring the two. After a three hour’s of walking up hill, they rested. The sun was high above them, and their weapons gleamed under the sunlight. Ashwa took a bottle of pink liquid and swallowed half of the bottle hungrily. She should have eaten more breakfast.
Walking for another two hours, they sat down, their shoes getting uncomfortable, and they back tired, along with their legs.
“Maybe we should walk at night, since the horse wouldn’t let us on it. I guess he has temper,” Kayla said, patting Siraj on the head. It neighed in agreement.
The companions stopped and started to set up their tents that they carried on their backs. Until they heard a sound of trumpets, getting louder and louder.
