Rose woke up the next morning and she remembered what had happened between her and Ryder, she groaned. None of it was a dream and all of it had really happened.
She showered and went to get some food, after making some bacon and eggs with a croissant and some orange juice to wash down the food.
She saw that Ryder was still asleep and she ate her food by the porch, Rose decided to read a novel and soak the sun in. She stirred awake when she felt a hand stroking her head and she quickly opened her eyes to find Ryder.
She hit his hand off her head and he seemed to be taken aback by her action.
Ryder brushed it aside, "hey."
"Afternoon," Rose replied in a tight voice.
"Are you mad at me?" Ryder asked.
"Yes, I am."
"Sorry for making you come and fetch me all the way. I drank too much." Ryder said solemnly.
"Don't do it again, I don't want to be involved in your drama and antics."
"Is it Aria that made you upset?" Ryder asked searching for her face, why did he seem afraid?
"All of you, I don't have time to be in your guy's business, you going to have to find a way to deal with Aria without involving me."
Ryder rubbed the back of his neck, "I know. You are right, but thank you for helping me and playing along."
"That will be the last of it Ryder, don't ever put me in a compromising situation again."
"Can we talk about what happened fully last night?" Ryder asked with a glint of hope,
"No! I don't want to and it's something I have already forgotten and you should too." Rose replied.
"I can't," Ryder replied.
"I don't care then, that's your problem to deal with then," Rose replied harshly.
"Fine, I promise, I won't, anything else?" Ryder replied.
"Besides knowing your place and us keeping boundaries there shouldn't be a problem at all."
"What do you mean?" Ryder asked.
"Exactly what I said, you stay in your place as my student and I, your lecture, everything should run smoothly and there won't be any problems."
"Are you putting a wall between us?" Ryder replied as he seemed to be hurt by her words.
"I'm not putting up anything Ryder, there was nothing that happened between us that warrants your response. Here I'm just being reasonable as most of our actions would put us in huge jeopardy, over a misunderstanding."
"That you don't feel anything for me?" Ryder replied with so much pain in his voice.
Rose laughed, why was Ryder joking now of all times, "Obviously, there is nothing between us and there is nothing that will ever come from it."
Ryder stood up abruptly, "I see you can laugh and you just view me as a joke." With that, he left.
