Mina could hear the rain from outside begin to start. Slowly finding its way, and eventually becoming heavy and violent. The church was loud, but only in silence. As she stays there, standing, she begins to stare deep into the soulless eyes of the angel made of stone, sculpted near the back of the podium.
“You’re nothing like me.”she says in a calm, yet angry tone.
Behind her, she hears the large doors begin to open , she quickly turns to see her love. It only took mere seconds for him to become deeply horrified by her appearance. What was once a cold and hard looking metallic mold around her arm has now become an abomination across the entire left half of her body. Closely, you could see that the job wasn’t finished, and that this substance was trying its best to reach the rest of her body.
“Wh … what happened?” Erwin says in pure fear.
“What I’ve always wanted: power.” she says with pure confidence. “I’m so sick and tired of feeling like nothing, feeling like an inconvenience to you all.”
“Mina … I know that your past wasn’t the way it should've been, but things are different now. You have me.” he says, trying to hold back the tears in his eyes.
“I don’t need anyone anymore. I can finally do what I want, go where I want, and be who I want. I finally feel like me … I finally feel beautiful.”
Erwin, though letting the tears release, is beginning to become infuriated. “No! This isn’t you, and this will never be you! You don’t seem to understand, you’ve always had me. You can talk to me!” he yells at her.
Mina violently walks towards him. “I understand everything!” she yells and pushes him into the door so hard that some of the hinges begin to crack, causing them to awkwardly hang.
Expecting the impact to leave him dead, she begins to walk out the church. She then notices him begin to groan and slowly rise. Just like Mina, there was an inhuman nature to him.
