Summer at 21
I wake up in a dimly lit room of
my penthouse, already cleaned, dressed up and completely alone. I get up from bed
and the cold stillness makes me want to cry. I’m all by myself again. I’ve
always been alone in the past, why is it so painful now?
I brush my hair away from my face and take a deep breath. This is for the best. Taking my glasses from the night table and putting it on, I open the door and stagger down to my living room only to pause in the middle of the stairs seeing Kaye lying on the couch.
It’s like there’s a force that propels me to him and I’m suddenly standing by the couch, peering down at Kaye’s sleeping form. I can’t believe this. He’s still here. But why’s he sleeping on the couch? Did he not want to stay beside me now that his Rosy is back?
The thought makes me weak and I fall to my knees. My earlier excitement immediately flies off my body and stare at Kaye in complete despair. I want to touch him but I couldn’t. Once he wakes up, he’s going to say goodbye to me, right?
As if the chaos in my thoughts are audibly noisy, Kaye wakes up and stares at me. “Hey,” he reaches up and caresses my cheek. “What’s this frown all about?”
“Hmm,” I close my eyes and tilt my face towards his touch. “Why are you sleeping in the living room?”
“Oh, did I fall asleep?” He sits up and pulls me to his lap. “Ah, I went out for a quick grocery. Sorry for making myself at home. I made dinner for us.” He nuzzles my neck and whispers into my ear. “How are you feeling?”
“I, um… feeling better now,” I stammer, remembering my humiliating breakdown earlier.
“I’m glad to hear that. But I’m actually asking about your body. Are you sore? Aching anywhere?”
“Oh,” I bite my lip and hide my blush under his chin. “I’m sore but it’s to be expected.”
“Was I too hard on you?”
“Oh, you were hard, alright,” I answer in a playful tone.
Kaye quickly catches my meaning and chuckles, pinching my chin and kisses me deeply but briefly on the lips. “How about dinner. Are you hungry?”
“Hmm,” I nod and get up when he starts moving on the couch.
Kaye holds my hand as he leads the way across the dining room. I’m taken aback seeing how the table was set. Ah, I know this menu. He’s served this in his food truck once and didn’t do it again. I ordered twice of it before, one for dine-in and the other for takeout.
I’m sure it’s steak with drunken mushrooms and blue cheese roasted potatoes. There’s a chilling bottle of wine at the side and a pudding as dessert. In the middle of this sumptuous meal are three red candles in a silver holder… which Kaye’s lighting up right now.
Um, wait—huh? Wait, wait. It’s like we’re having a… Is this… Kaye drags a chair and waits for me to sit on it. But I’m stoned shock and a little scared. He smirks seeing my probably laughable face. He leans in and kisses me on the lips.
“Your mouth’s ajar, kitty. I know you love my cooking so much but don’t let your drool drip on the floor. Now, come over here and sit down.”
With his playful tone and excited gestures, I finally found myself sitting in front of the table set for a romantic candlelit dinner. It feels like a dream and I can’t help but get teary eyed at this overwhelming feeling. I suddenly wish for this night to never end.
In retrospect, maybe this gesture is to put an end to whatever we have. Although I believe we didn’t have anything started between us to begin with. Nevertheless, at Kaye’s lead, I toast wine with him and start digging in. He made a lot so I also eat a lot while sharing trivial conversation with him.
After dinner, Kaye pushes me out of the kitchen and cleans everything up from the table. I’ve never felt this blissful in my life. It’s like I’m in a special bubble that anytime it’ll burst and everything will turn to smoke. It’s both wonderful and frightening.
Once Kaye appears in the living room, he hands me a glass of wine and sits beside me on the couch. We nurse our drinks together while stealing scorching kisses from time to time.
“Dinner’s really good. I’m so full. Thank you,” I say in between pants.
“I’m glad.” Kaye takes my wine glass and sets it down the low table together with his before kissing me on the lips once again. “How about we burn down some calorie, yeah?”
“Hmm,” I moan into his mouth and straddle his lap which has an obvious bulge on it from his huge arousal.
As we kiss, Kaye’s hands grab onto my buttocks underneath my pants, kneading them like a baker on his dough. I shudder as he tentatively touches my twitching hole which has stayed a little agape from our earlier activity. I become restless, seeking friction to both my front and back.
Kaye takes my clothes off and lays me down the couch before raining kisses on my body, from my neck down to my shaft. He’s been giving me fellatio numerous times while I’m yet to return the favor. And I really want to return the favor but he just won’t let me.
“Unh,” I groan as he deep throats me, grabbing onto his hair and pulling him off. “Please, no more. I want you in me now.”
Kaye gets up and turns me on the couch until I’m vulnerably positioned on all fours. “Is this alright?” He asks as he fumbles with his fly and I moan my assent. “Kitty, the lube…”
“I’m still loose from earlier. So… j-just spit on it.”
“Shit!” He growls and does as I said, spitting on my puckering hole a few times before plunging in. “Fuck, you’re so much sexier when you want it, kitty.” Kaye groans in between aggressive thrusts. “So goddamn pretty. So hot, ah! Ah, shit, so mine ah, ah! Fuck I love—” There’s a distinct pause, both in his speech and his movement, before he continues. “I love the feeling of you around me, kitty.”
“Hmm,” I bite my lip and shut my eyes tight, trampling the hope that suddenly blossoms in my chest. “Ah, Kaye!” I jolt when he grabs for my length, rubbing it as fast as his hammering hips. “Hmm, Kaye! Yes, so deep! So good! I’m going crazy! Kaye, ah, ah!”
It’s surprising that we come together this time. Kaye usually takes a few rounds until he climaxes. But I’m rather happy knowing I’m the reason he couldn’t hold it longer. My stomach clenches together with my sphincter as he fills me up with his cum.
“Ah, shit! I’m sorry!” Kaye exclaims, pulling out belatedly. “I’m sorry, kitty.”
“It’s alright.” I turn around and kiss him on the lips. “I’m fine.”
We lay on the couch in each other’s arms and continue on making out, our mouths creating clashing sounds against the stillness of my living room. I break from the kiss and pant while Kaye continues kissing me anywhere while his hands caress the length of my body.
“So uh—” Kaye starts in between kisses. “Is it alright coz—" Kiss. "You know, Rosy’s waiting for me—”
“Oh, t-that’s right,” I suddenly bolt up and wildly look for my clothes. “I’m sorry for keeping you here so late. Um… Y-you have to go, right?”
“Right,” Kaye looks at me with a frown before snatching my wrist to stop me from putting on my underwear. “I was actually hoping you’d come home with me.”
“W-why would I go with you?”
“Because… um, I kinda told Rosy about you and uh,” Kaye scratches his nape, seemingly embarrassed. “Um, I told her that uh, you’re a special friend and… You know she’s kinda looking forward to meeting you.”
“W-why would you tell her about me?” I ask in shock while clutching my underwear near my heart.
“Uh, is it no good? Um, I don’t like to keep anything from my daughter you know, so—”
“What?” I snap, flabbergasted more than ever before. “D-daughter?”
“Y-yeah…um… A-are you turned off?”
“Turned off? Wait a minute—” Although I’m sure it’s not there, I still glance down his hand to see if he has a wedding band on his finger. Yep, totally none. “Are you married?”
“Was. Divorced since three years ago at exactly the same day I first met you.”
“I… huh?” I take a pause and wince. “So, she’s a d-daughter after all.”
“Uh-huh,” Kaye’s eyes widen as if realizing something before swiftly looking at me but I quickly avoid his gaze. “Wait, who do you think—” He pauses, grabs my shoulders and forces me down his chest. “Oh, no! No, you thought Rosy is my woman? Uh, well, she is my woman. No, but she’s just a little girl. So, yeah, she’s technically my girl coz she’s my most precious daughter.” He then presses his lips on my temple and speaks in a muffled voice. “Oh, kitty. Was this why you’ve been crying? Were you um… were you jealous?”
“O-of course not!” I quickly deny through twitching lips to suppress a stupid smile in both relief and embarrassment before burying my face into his chest. “Well, um… I, I shouldn’t get jealous. It’s not like we’re d-dating anyway.”
“Hmm,” Kaye hums while playing with my hair. “Let me remind you that we just had a candlelit dinner earlier and it definitely counts as a date.”
“Huh?” I jerk my head away and meet his gaze. “A-are you serious?”
“Is it no good?”
My heart’s about to burst in my chest at the sincerity in both Kaye’s voice and expression. I can’t help but sob into his chest at the happiness I feel. I thought… I definitely thought this was goodbye but it’s actually the opposite. It’s good. It’s more than good!
“Oh, no. You’re crying again,” Kaye resumes stroking my hair while holding me tight in his arms. “So, can we go back home?”
“Um,” I straighten up and nod. “Y-yeah if it’s alright with you that I tag along.”
“Of course it’s more than alright,” he wipes my tears away, smacks our lips together twice before helping me put my clothes back on. “Let’s um… clean you up at home, ok?”
My face heats up immediately at the reminder of it. It’s as if Kaye’s words are the trigger, his spending slowly leaks out of me and slides down my inner thighs. I bite my lip and clench my muscles in a poor attempt to keep it from spilling but it’s no use.
Just like before, I leave my penthouse carrying only my wallet, cellphone and laptop then hop a ride on Kaye’s pickup truck. Since his daughter’s currently at Cha-cha, we drive straight to the old woman’s house. Suzette opens the door after we ring the bell.
“Oh, Rosy, your dad’s finally here to pick you up!”
“Daddy?” A girl’s excited squeal resounds somewhere in the house before rushing footfalls approach the door.
“Hey, what got you so long from picking up your da… uh, who’s this?” Sue widens her eyes and gawks at me from head to foot and back. “What are you?” She asks while sizing up my flat chest through my loose shirt. “Wait, are you…”
“Auntie Cheri?” Rosy asks excitedly and grabs for my hand. “You’re auntie Cheri, aren’t you?”
Auntie? I blink in surprise and smile awkwardly. Just who taught this kid a terrible thing?
“Oh, my Cheri! You’re here, too?” Cha-cha pulls me into the house and hugs me tightly in her fragile arms. “I’m so glad to see you again.”
“Cha-cha, good evening,” I greet back before looking down at the little girl again. “Um, hi there, Rosy. Uh, nice to meet you.”
“Where’s your bag, Rosy? Is this it?” Kaye picks up a pink duffel bag from the couch and slings it on his shoulder. “Hey, mom, I’m gonna go grab something in your room!” Before the old woman can reply, he’s entered the bedroom and kicks the door shut.
“I’m so happy to finally meet you, too!” Rosy answers and, to my surprise, hugs me around my waist. “I heard so much about you from dad and grandma. I couldn’t wait to know you better so I’m going to spend a vacation at dad’s place. Is it alright?”
“Of course, it’s alright.” I glance at the people around me, feeling uneasy at this overly warm welcome from a child. “Um, I’m the one intruding so I shouldn’t have come while you’re in a vacation with your dad.”
“Oh, no. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not there for my dad. I came especially for you. So while dad’s working on his food truck, you’re left babysitting me.” She winks while grinning mischievously and clings to my waist even tighter.
“Is that so?” I say in half amusement and half resignation.
Oh, so I’m to babysit this kid? Was this what Kaye told her who I supposedly am?
“Hey, hey. We haven’t properly introduced,” Sue butts in, arching her back to look at me closely. “This is bizarre. You look like a woman straight out of a magazine. But—” She tugs down the collar of my shirt and peers inside. “Nope, definitely not a woman. Plus—”
“Quit it, Suzette!” Cha-cha chides with a slap to her shoulder. “I already told you about him, didn’t I?”
“Yes, but I feel something—” She pauses and squints her eyes at me that I squirm in discomfort. “It’s something like a déjà vu, you know. It’s as if—”
“Let’s go!” Kaye announces after getting out of his mother’s room. “Mom, we’ll gonna go now.” He kisses Cha-cha’s cheek and flicks Suzette’s forehead. “Bye, ugly!”
“Fu— Ouch!” Sue exclaims exaggeratedly and glares at her brother before turning to me. “Hey you, I’m watching you,” She says threateningly, making gestures of her fingers along with her line.
“What do you mean by that?” Cha-cha flicks her forehead this time before sending us to the door. “Careful on the drive, alright, son? Rosy, come over here, give your grandma a kiss goodbye. You as well, Cheri.”
