“Mom!” yelled Molly. “Can you not have the news about RSK (Ringles Serial Killer) RIGHT BEFORE I’m about to head to school? “First of all,” replied Molly’s mom, “This is for your own good and safety. Second, do NOT talk to me like that young lady!. Molly’s mom, Kira, has been watching the news any time she can to keep herself updated on the RSK all to make sure Molly is not the next victim. Even if that means spending nights on end on the news and taking notes on EACH AND EVERY move the RSK makes. Today was Molly’s first day of school since Angeline was killed and she…was…tense. “Sorry Mom,” said Molly as she trudged down the stairs with her backpack and lunchbox in hand. As Molly headed out the door, Kira replied with “I know honey. You know how much I love you and I just don't want you to ever fall victim to this killer. I hope you have a wonderful day at school”. “Thanks” Molly uttered under her breath, knowing that her day was not going to be “wonderful” without Angeline. Molly was so devastated by the loss of her friend that she had been contained in her room for 2 weeks without talking to anyone and just writing to her Dad, Frank, who was in the army. Molly’s Mom owned a restaurant in the downtown area of Ringles called WiiEat (We-Eat) which has not been getting many customers every since the Angeline murder. As Molly shut the door to her house she was constantly looking everywhere even though her school was just 3 blocks away. “You can never be too careful” her mother always says. Other kids who were heading to school also seemed to be aware of their surroundings and constantly looking back from time to time. The RSK has changed the way the entire town of Ringles functioned, schools installed stricter security, new curfews were put in place for the town, and police began patrolling neighborhoods.
Molly arrived at school pretty early. Normally school starts around 8:30 and she was there at 8:00 so she had 30 minutes to do whatever she wanted. After going through the metal detectors and getting patted down by the school resource officer, Molly sat down in the lunchroom and went on her phone. As soon as she opened it, her news feed was flooded with the news about the RSK and tributes to the kids who were murdered, including, Angeline. Molly began to tear up. Her best friend had died, her first one at that since Molly moved to Ringles. Now all of these killings and drama surrounding the town has made Molly want to just run away and never come back. Speaking of running, Molly ran to the girls bathroom, jumped into a stall, and immediately started breaking down not holding any tears back. Just when Molly was wiping off her tears with the toilet paper, she heard the feint crying of another person in the stall next to her.

Somewhere, in a secluded farmhouse in Ringles
“How many have you killed so far” croaked the raggedy man. “15” replied a young adult male, probably around his 20s. “And you’re sure your sister doesn't know about it yet? Especially since she just moved there?” “She has absolutely no clue, sir”.
