A Visit To Lily's Garden

End of Xièzhì: Thank you!

End of Xièzhì: Thank you!

Sep 17, 2022

Hello, Readers!

The day has come! Today is the finalé of "Xièzhì". For those of you who have read to the end, THANK YOU! Your views, likes, comments, and Ink have meant the world to me. I hope you truly enjoyed this story, and I hope you will return to see what I have in store for Xièzhì's followers in my upcoming detective series.

Now that you have read the epilogue, you can better understand where I'll be taking my detective series. The main male leads will be associated in some way to what happened in the epilogue.

In this series, the oranization mentioned in the epilogue will still be vigilantes for justice. There will be a crime syndicate the men will be going after from the shadows, either as part of the vigilante organization or as an asset.

I don't have all the details worked out yet, like the name of the vigilante organization. I do know who will be a member, who will be an asset, and who will be an enemy. I don't want to tell you too much because I don't know what can change as I'm writing.

I can tell you that if you read "Cultivating Lilies" as well as "Xièzhì," you can guess a few things. I won't say more because I think reading it for the first time in the context of the story will be a much better experience.

I know on the surface, "Cultivating Lilies" seems like a short romance story. It is ... but then, it isn't. I always meant to add a personal note to the end to discuss Nari's depression and to speak on ideas I had for JiHo's investigative work. Some situations at home kept me too occupied to dedicate the time and mental energy I needed to do so.

Directly speaking, "Cultivating Lilies" is much deeper and potentially darker than a quick read-through would suggest. Making it the first step into telling the modern extention of the Xièzhì epilogue makes perfect sense if you know what you're looking for.

Not to worry! Once I have the other two short novels up, you'll begin to connect the dots. Once the main crossover novel is written to bring all three together, you'll really understand.

After I have published "The Detective & The Socialite" and the third short story (no name yet), you may want to read all three again before I post the crossover. They are relatively short, so it shouldn't be too much to get through. I wouldn't suggest waiting to read them until the crossover is up, though. I don't believe that will be published until next summer.

But who knows? I didn't think I would have 5 novels published here within a year of being on Tapas!

Thank everyone again so very much for all of your support! The first thing I do every day is open Tapas and look at my notifications for likes and comments. The view count has been enjoyable to see, as well, and I understand not everyone reading can like or comment beause they aren't members of Tapas. I do hope those readers will consider joining so they can interact with me. I would enjoy that so much!

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! I'll be sharing updates on the detective stories soon! 💜

Hello, Readers!

Welcome to my occasional chatter. Like the little bees and butterflies and birds that have visited my gardens, you are invited to "listen" to my spontaneous pondering, occasional rants, joyful events, and random gibberish. Feel free to add your own experiences to the topics in the comments.

Is this me procrastinating again? HAHA! We all need breaks when creating becomes somewhat of a chore.

My mind doesn't stop creating, especially when I try to sleep or meditate to calm it. Those efforts seem to increase the speeding train in my head all the more. I have found that speaking on other topics and sharing current feelings not related to my books helps to at least clear my mind enough to slow down the thoughts and give a bit of peace.

Since this is a slice of life, there is no set end. It's for as long as I'm here on Tapas and will update when I feel the need to share what's going on in my world. :)
