ROY POV

Muttering the name of god we entered the left room…

On the bright side, we did not enter a room full of pirates.

However, it was not the armory.

It was a library.

Man…I hate books.

Suddenly the door behind us closed with a bang.

Alex and I both rushed to prevent the door from closing, but our effort was futile. We were trapped. Had Jack set us up or was it something that he didn’t know yet? No alarms went off neither any guards jumped out to kill us. So I am guessing, Jack didn’t know about this room. I think it is obvious, that even when Jack was made to clean the entire ship by himself, he was not allowed inside the armory.

But something felt really really off.

While Alex and I were struggling with the door, Will wandered around the bookshelves, randomly touching and checking the books (darn that idiot, One day I am gonna drown him in a pool of books).

After struggling a little longer, Alex and I gave up. We were trapped for good. We decided to try and look for another exit.

Will POV

I think those two are trying to look for another exit. But I am not at all interested in doing that. If there is an exit, they will find them. But these books, are really something else. These books are old and dusty, but they seemed to contain a lot of knowledge, about the island and the pirates.

While checking the bookshelves, one book really caught my interest. Unlike any other book, there was not a single layer of dust on this book. Also, the book was closed with a belt. It was a really heavy book, and the title read The Artifacts, Spells and their History. I opened the belt and opened the first page. Whatever language it was written in, it was not known to me. But…

Suddenly the letters in the ink started vanishing as if the page was soaking all the ink. I was stunned. I didn’t even realize, that Alex standing behind me.

“What’s the matter?” he asked

I showed him the book and told him what happened.

He picked up the book, looked at the first page then frowned at me.

“Rubbish! Did you drink any of those stuff from the beer barrels?” he asked

“What?” I snatched the book from him and realized, that the pages of the book were again filled with words. But this time the words were in English.

Wow, very creepy book.

“You two find an exit?” I asked.

“Nah! Roy is searching still, but I don’t think there is any there” he replied and then went off again to find something to keep himself busy with.

Chapter-1 The spell of projecting.

This spell will allow the user to project his consciousness to another place, but it will be transparent and nobody will be able to see it. The user must focus on his soul while trying to imagine himself wherever he wants to be…(I am not writing the whole crap down).

Warning- Projecting your conscience will risk exposure of your soul to cosmic radiation the further you project it from your body. And beware of riders( they would love to feast on your soul, while it is not protected in your body).

I knew the whole thing was crap. The pirates were obviously superstitious people. Still, Roy hasn’t found an exit yet, so it can’t hurt to try once.
I closed my eyes while trying to do my best to concentrate myself standing next to Roy…well as expected nothing happened.

I tried once more. I closed my eyes and tried to concentrate on my soul while trying to imagine myself next to Roy.

Suddenly there was a swooping feeling in my stomach, and when I opened my eyes, I was standing next to Roy.

“Hey” I said

Roy jumped at the sound and shouted “Who’s here?”

“Don’t be stupid. Just because I read that book, doesn’t mean it is possible”

Suddenly Alex ran next to Roy in a panic.

“Will…something happened to him…need help”

Wow, now I am really confused. I followed Alex and was stunned to see the sight…

Laying on the floor, holding the book in hand was me.

Yes, for as I saw it I realized I was feeling weightless, timeless and the small pain in my head, had stopped. Does that mean, the incantation worked?

I again closed my eyes and focused back to my body.

Suddenly I was again, back to holding the book, and a sense of nausea drained over me.

Wow, I just go a hangover from spirit traveling.

I looked up and Roy and Alex and smiled, we just gained an edge over the pirates.
