“Arcano,” a mysterious figure said, walking out of the shadows. Aurora instantly was drawn to the blood red outlines of his outfit, it was… eery how close to the color of blood it was. She shook off her weird feeling and ignored it.
“I am your new Chancellor, and I would like to tell you that I will be taking this job very seriously,” his eyes drifted over the crowd, scanning each person, until he reached Aurors, he stared for a second longer, then smiled and continued.
“I will be conducting a thorough evaluation of everyone’s power, not to worry though, it's not going to affect anyone's ability to stay; i simply want to organize the classes according to your levels and abilities.
“Do you get a creepy feeling too?” Aurora whispered.
“Without a doubt, something weird is going on right now,” Shayde muttered back, the words being spoken from the stage being blurred as Aurora and Shayde looked at each other worried. Aurora looked a bit ways past and saw Blyze glaring at the Chancellor. She could tell she wasn't the only one who felt like the whole situation was a bit off. The whole stadium filled with whispers, people confused about the new condition of the camp. It was no longer the light-hearted camp it had been in the past. A dark cloud of fear had settled over them.
“Okay, I would like to introduce the captains of our factions for all our new students. Right here in the front, I would like to introduce our captain for wind, Zephyr; for earth its Eris, the doll right here with the green hair; our lightning captain is in the back, Galv; after that Aurora zoned out, her mind began wandering and thinking about what was gonna happen.
“...and lastly Aurora, captain of the shadows,” Arcano finished, “Classes begin next week, unpack and get ready. I wish the best of luck to all of you. Best of luck? Why would we need luck? Aurora was confused, and concerned for what was to come.
